A very good mp3 player. Nice and small but big enough so that you dont forget its there. Its memory is brilliant and you get your moneys worth for it.
The problem of its screen freezing is easily sorted with the read me on the installation disk (hold on button for 15 secs.) i had this problem almost straightaway but a quick read later and it was sorted. The headphones arnt brill but you can get a good sound out with new ones.
All in all a good little piece of kit and highly recommended for anyone wishing to buy a good memory, cheap mp3 player.
Exactly what I needed

Excellent player for an excellent price. If you want a cheap, easy to use player (your grandma could probably figure out how to use it), this is great. I never need to carry around more than 4GB of songs so I didn't bother getting anything bigger.
I've have this for almost 4 months now and I haven't encountered the problems other people have mentioned (headphone socket giving out, etc). Works perfectly for me.
People have also mentioned that the player was slow to read off a microSD card, I don't think so...its fast enough really.
I discarded the earphones that came with it straight away, so I can't tell you about those.
The only problems with it are that it seems to have a bit of a cheap finish around the edges and that the buttons around the wheel really are a bit tricky to press. Also if you don't lock the controls it occassionally turns on by itself and starts playing (and thus uses up battery life, which is very long by the way), although I've never had it switch off in my pocket while I've been listening to music or anything. But now I'm just nitpicking, would definately recommend this mp3 player.
(Did I mention the easy a piece of cake to drag and drop music or to sync to windows media player?)
Nice but unreliable

Nice user interface and good sound BUT initially locked up, then failed completed as whole file structure got corrupted. No longer recognised by my PC, so can't delete any of the corrupted files.
Support via website, Email and phone is hopeless.
This does rival the iPod nano....

I bought one of these as I did not want to be shackled to iTunes. For a fraction of the price of an iPod nano you get twice the memory with the option of expanding via the micro sd slot.
User interface is very similar to iPod, using wheel to navigate etc. You can also create playlists 'on the go' just like an iPod nano.
The Sansa e260 has never failed me and with 20 hours battery life and no software crashes this kicks the nanos butt!
Great sound, great product.
Syncs with both Napster and Windows Media Player.
Good thing about Napster is is that you can create playlists and sync with sansa player but when you buy a song Napster remembers so if you have deleted your songs you can redownload it for free!
Cant do that with iTunes! You have to re-purchase the song!
Again - Good but Unreliable

This is a great little mp3 player - good battery life, looks good, clear screen, easy navigation and very small - however it is let down by reliability problems. It would continually shut itself down, the screen would freeze and a headphone would stop working.
If Sandisk could sort these problems out I would have no hesitation in giving this 5 stars, but when I paid £90 for mine (now £60) I expect it to work properly.
Fair play to Play.com, who refunded mine with no arguments when I sent mine back to them - thanks
very good when it works

i got this on a whim and because it was in a sale at the time and ive found that it is good and works well with windows media player 10 very well it has however once or twice 'locked up' where it just crashes and wont turn off or do anything, only thing to do is let its battery run out and turn back on, it has only happened twice but apart from that it is a good buy
Love it

I got this for a Christmas pressie in 2006. It hasn't failed me yet after daily use on my commute to/from work. Admittedly the 'wheel' does fell a little plasticy but so far it has been fine.
Videos, once converted, run fine and the colours are great.
As usual with these kind of MP3 players the sound was improved after I replaced the standard earphones.
I've even splashed out on an iM510 external speaker to go with this when I'm back at home.
I like it.
Has problems

I loved this player initially and was the best mp3 player i had owned, until one of the headphones stopped working. After buying a new pair I discovered the problem was with the shoddy pins inside the socket itself. After having to listen only out of one earphone for months, the other one died as well! This was a big disappointment as I did love the menu and the playsforsure ability of the player. After a search I discovered that many other people had this problem and it was down to the cheap earphone socket, a problem which could easily have been avoided by shelling out a couple more pounds during manufacture. Although still under one years manufacturer warranty Sandisk support were unable to forward an address to send the player to. Until I discovered this was a due to a recurring design problem I was prepared to buy a new model I enjoyed it that much.

this is a good mp3 player while it works which was about 6 months for me . it had a tendancy to not realise it had been disconected after it had finished charging. it then just died on me for no reason. i dont recomend it.
