I previously had a Logitech Harmony 885 and had been waiting for years for this remote to be released, a graet deal more so sine the Logitech Harmony One was introduced.
The reason for that was the RF functionality as it lets me keep all my cabinet doors closed and just have the TV on display and I couldn't justfy replacing the 885 with the 895 so was waiting for the next Harmony RF remote.
A bit dissapointingly the Harmony Remote software would not let me replace the 885 in my existing account with the 900 which meant I had to start from scratch in setting everything up. No explanation was provided for this and I would have thought it should be possible for Logitech to allow users to replace the existing remote in such situations utilising the existing account's set-up.
Using the remote is a breeze once set up however and I am glad that logitech has included hard buttons for the red button etc which the One lacked. Using Sky these are essential and having these only available on the touch screen would have made using the remote annoying (and would have probably meant I would not have purchased it).
The remote feels really solid in the hand and is a step up in build quality over the 885. Most importantly it does not have the issues that plague many 885 and 895 users of the remote not charging in its dock.
All in all I would definitely recommend the remote but only if the RF functionality is something you require. Otherwise the premium over the Logitech One is a bit much just to get hard buttons for the red button, etc.
