These were on offer so i bought them at only 14.99 which is great value for the money.
Build quality. My first impressions are good, they seem well built and I very much like companies which tnk of the little things, for example including a small hard case with Denon indented on it so if you leave them in a bag they dont get damaged, and there are plenty of silicone buds to choose from.
The packaging is nice and refined, as expected from a company with a reputation such as Denon's
Audio Quality. They havent been properly bocken in yet, but I think the sound quality is very good at first impressions. bass is deep and well controlled without a huge thump everytime there is a beat, they are slightly bass heavy as with alot of other earphones at this price range but not as much as the others I have tried. When listening to Evanescences Bring me to Life (in lossless format) the piano at the start sounds great and the deep rumble is present but not overpowering, but if you want huge bass then with the right song they can practically give you a nosebleed (mt eden dubstep, sierra leone). As well as bass these headphones do well with higher frequencues as well with your song, ellie goulding sounding brilliant and on Jar of hearts by christina perri as well as meet me halfway by black eyed peas, the vocals are held very well with a good range.
The range of these is rated at 5-24000 hz but not all of that is audible because of falloff although in tests i have done, they do very well
In conclusion to this I think that, at the reduce price, whatever style of music you listen to you cant go wrong with these. My only annoyance is the length of the cable but it isnt really a problem. Haveing previously owned the award winning sennheiser cx300-II phones, these are on a par and slightly less bass heavy which I like
