Easy-to-read display
The new Reader Touch Edition uses innovative eInk Vizplex technology to create the look of traditional print on its ample 6" screen. You'll feel like you're reading from paper. No backlight means no strain on your eyes and the magnifying function lets you zoom in on the text for easier reading.

Simple touch screen navigation
The Reader Touch features an easy-to-use touch screen, so you can select books and flick through pages with just one finger. Thousands of titles are now available -from fiction, non-fiction, adventure and academia. The Reader is compatible with a variety of file formats giving you an amazing choice of where and how to get your content.

Built-in dictionary
The Reader has a handy built-in dictionary in case you're ever unsure of the meaning of a word. Simply double tap the word and the definition will pop up. Using the supplied stylus you can also write notes on your books or highlight passages of text to find them again easily, or export your notes to save or print.

Thin enough to take everywhere
Smaller than a standard paperback and just 8mm thin, you can pop the Reader Touch Edition in your pocket and enjoy the perfect read, wherever you are.

Incredible battery life
Perfect for long journeys, the Reader has a long battery life that lets you read around 7,500 page turns. That's over 30 books from a single charge. So wherever you want to escape to, your Reader will be the perfect companion.

Store thousands of titles
Using the Reader's in-built memory, you can store around 350 books. But if it's not enough you can increase the Reader's capacity to around 13,000 titles using MemoryStick DUO or SD Cards meaning you can dip into thousands of different books anytime you like- and with none of the bulk.

Listen while you read
If you like to listen to music while getting wrapped up in a book or just want a break from reading, put on your headphones and enjoy the Reader's in-built MP3 player. It's simple to create a library by dragging and dropping MP3 or AAC files from your PC to the Reader.

This is my first venture into ebook readers.... and i'm very pleased with my purchase. I use a loads of pdf files for work, during research for lectures etc now i can collate them and have them easily accessible while i'm doing assignments/lectures. Very easy to use easy to manipulate documents. Tagging option and writing/highlighting text is excellent. Still bit pricey but i've had mine about 3 weeks now and still think it's worth my hard earned

Customer rating: 3 out of 5 stars Welcome new features but the screen is a backward step

Already owning a Sony PRS-505 I was excited to read about the new PRS-600. The ability to annotate along with an integrated dictionary (which were sorely missing on the 505) led me to purchase the PRS-600.

My initial joy soon turned to frustration though as the integration of a touch-screen on the 600 has introduced an unacceptable amount of glare/reflection. In most conditions I find I am constantly adjusting the position of the 600 to get a comfortable viewing position.

The new features are great and owners of existing models will feel at home. But for me, the clarity of the screen just is nowhere near as good as that on the 505 and for that reason.... I'm out.
