I think this is an excellent deal, to buy this player and the blu-rays indivdually would cost more than 200 pound. Not only that but the player is of a high quality and has support to update the software for future blu rays. I have purchased other blu rays from different shops and they all work perfectly and the picture quality is truely astounding. Throw in best buy reviews from Which? magazine and the gadget show and you have a well spec'd and reliable player that I defintley reccomend to buy.

The Sony BDP-S360 is one of the smallest seperates I have and I was glad to see that Sony are looking at home cinema systems at close detail. The bigger sets from other brands may seem more powerful or deem to be of higher quality but don't be fooled. The Sony BDP-S360 definatly does the job and the spec is great. I have a Samsung 1080i LCD and nowadays 1080i is no longer a standard, it's actually rare and is seen as a hinder then a helpful addition, but the Sony identifed the connection type and displays the video at 1080i. I watched Star Trek and was amazed at how much you miss watching dvd's and HD off set-top boxes. This blueray player does bring your LCD tv to life. The only problem I had was with the BDLive feature. You have to use external memory so I added a USB Stick to the back before I watched Terminator Salvation (which came with the player, great images) but it took so long to access the BDLive features I had to shut the player down and restart it to watch the movie. You have to use external memory so I added a USB Stick to the back before I watched Terminator Salvation (which came with the player, great images) but it took so long to access the BDLive features I had to shut the player down and restart it to watch the movie. It could be my internet (get 1080p on xbox360 streamed so I dont think thats the case) or it could be the way the player uses the USB stick.
But I'm really not bothered about the BDLive, as long as the player updates its software etc etc...which it does (already supplied updated) then all I need is the main movie.
