Got this for the sister in law, she loves it and now listens to Wham on the bus! Not sure if this is a good thing.

  Below the satisfactory level!

I was happy for only 3 hours after i got it.
In three hour i found that my archos had a defect, it repeatedly played the first track 5-8 times before going to the next track even if i hit the next or previous button ( In Shuffle Mode).
Then, i came face to face with its poor interface and had trouble searching for my favourite song,
Also, now its about a month now, my ear phones are not working, i think the wires inside it has gone loose due to which sometimes i hear song in left earphone and sometimes in right one, moreover, most of the time its blank on both sides!
So, i would advise no one to buy this product!!
Its better to have a bit expensive one with better EVERYTHING than this piece.

  A great little product

A great little player, does everything it says, easy controls, drag & drop cannot be easier, converted a film by it's own software and played without a problem, audio brilliant and a pleasure to listen to.
Now I'm a 72 year old , that tells it's own story about how good this product is.

this player is cheap, but you barely get your money's worth! its flimsy build quality, poor interface, next to no features and terrible screen (which died on mine after a week). buy a creative they last!

  Excellent little device

Great value and easy to use, this player is perfect for using during activities and is light as feather. One thing though, the "free" downloads and audiobook is a con. The site you are directed to has been "temporarily offline and being worked on by engineers" for months! Just a little annoying but the player is a five star value buy.

Although this little player is cheap enough and sound quality through my own earplugs sounds good enough I am having all sorts of wierd things go on sometimes it will play others not when I tried to load 750 tracks it said there were too many though the blurb says over 2000 !!!! and so far I have only managed to get 5hrs of play from it and I'm not happy about that as I bought it for travelling and because the review here said 21 hours...but I guess for the money it's OK.

Good value for money, not the best sound quality though.

Ideally, I would have liked to have been able to give this 3.5 stars out of 5. Very cheap and easy to use. No need to install any software onto your PC, just drag and drop. There are a small number of drawbacks however - one is that you can't randomise tracks on one album, you can only randomise all tracks. It's not possible to create playlists, but you can create folders and drag various mp3s into them. Although I use my own Seinheiser headphones, the sounds quality is very average. It lacks any real depth and just sounds a little bit too trebley. There are various different sound presets available though (one of which is customisable), but they don't make a huge difference. That said, it's a sturdy little player and ideal for listening to at the gym as it's very small and lightweight. Really handy for doubling up as a removable disk and at 25 quid for 4GB mp3/mp4 player, you can't really go wrong.
