3 It's all in your mind...Octopoid | 21/02/2011 | See all Octopoid's reviews (1)I have one of these cables, and it's perfectly fine - good build quality, looks like it should last the test of time. What it doesn't do is give you a better picture. No digital cable does. Either the cable transfers 1s and 0s correctly to your TV, and you see the image correctly, or it doesn't transfer the 1s and 0s correctly, and you don't see the image correctly - i.e. the crunchy squeaky mess you see when digital TV looses signal. The only way to improve the image on your HD flatscreen is through the image settings on the screen itself.I have personally tested both a 100 pound ridiculous top of the range HDMI cable and a 4 pound black plastic cable which doesn't even have gold plated connecters on my 55" 3D LED TV. They both provide identical image quality. The only difference was that only one of them supported a full 3D signal - and that was the 4 pound cable. So, if you want a cable with a high build quality, get this, or something like this. If you want a better picture, or are worried about it supporting 1080p, or 3D, or 7.1 TrueHD audio, don't worry. Any standard 1.3b HDMI cable supports all of these things, and it makes absolutely no difference to the quality whatsoever.
