It lets you shoot videos which capture five times the detail of a standard definition camcorder in Full HD 1920 x 1080 at a maximum bit rate of 24MBps for even greater clarity.



Superb picture quality without the effort
For beautifully detailed, natural looking results this camcorder uses Exmor R CMOS Sensor which helps captures detail-packed images even in low light. A D-Range Optimiser adjusts exposure and contrast for evenly exposed backlit shots, whilst a Sony exclusive BIONZ processor also reduces picture noise in low light.

The revolutionary Exmor R CMOS sensor boosts sensitivity while reducing image noise for brilliant, detail-packed pictures even in low-light.

Intelligent AUTO (iAUTO) takes selects from 90 different combinations of Face Detection, your shooting situation (handheld or tripod), and scene types. Handycam then adjusts all parameters for clear, satisfying results.

This camcorder features a powerful 25x optical zoom lens meaning AF performance is now 2x faster than previous models for rapid, pin-sharp focus - even when you're shooting in low light.

More bits in every frame means better-looking pictures. For quality-critical productions, new FX Mode captures detail-packed 1920x1080/50i video at a full 24Mbps - the highest bit-rate specified by the AVCHD format.
