 Great sound and versatility

I'd been shopping for a decent DAB clock radio for a while and had tried several different ones, settling on this one. Glad I did, it's a great sounding machine especially when using bass boost. Plays and charges my 3GS. Has numerous surprises too, like being able to preset the alarm's music volume to a different level to the music you played last night so you dont wake to music thats too loud! Two alarms can be independently programmed e.g. a different radio station at a different time and volume level on a weekend to that preset on a weekday. Can dim the display for use in a bedroom and it's not too bright at all; there are four different brightness settings including having the display off but I just set it to the dimmest. DAB Radio reception is good using the wire ariel - no unsightly telescopic one here! Clock sets itself using DAB and changes automatically when the clocks go forward/backward. Useful remote control with plenty of functions. Has a spatial sound function to widen the stereo effect.
All in all a great item that has a quality feel and sound - I would recommend it to anyone.

Good for the kitchen - not Bedroom

Great device, I bought one as a bedside alarm clock/dock. Good sound (although the bass boost adds distortion). The problem with this device is the brightness. Even at it's lowest setting it will fill a bedroom with light and I had to put the supplied remote over the display, therefore negating it's prime purpose (in my eyes..).

Therefore I cannot recommend it for the bedroom, just 'other' rooms!

Great sounds and an awesome peice of kit

Great sounds and an awesome peice of kit. Having read some of the reviews prior to buying this from Play.com (which by the way was 10 POUNDS cheaper than anywhere else) some people complained about the brightness of the clock, this isn't a problem for me as it dim's right down so its almost off. Setting it up was a really easy didn't really need to referer to the instructions to much.
The sound is really great and not had any problems with distortion as some have reported. In my opinion it's well worth the money and have given it a full 5 STARS.

Brightness can be switched off so dont worry

At a very reasonable price for a new ipod dock and dab station it is very good, just what I needed! sound is very clear but bass can add distortion but you can simply turn it off if you don't want it but only does this with some songs. Recommend it but shop around for price as it can very from place to place, when I bought it play.com was the cheapest but 3 weeks after the price had changed.

 Sturdy and Great Sound

Easy to use and versatile alarm clock. I bought it for the ipod dock so I can use my favourite tunes to go to sleep and wake up to. Very easy to operate and does everything it should. Ipod is located conveniently giving easy access to ipod controls to select playlists / albums etc.

DAB radio works fine.

Best features are ipod integration and sound quality (though limited tone controls, but ipod has these features)

Not enough ipod dock adaptors supplied (didn't have one for the 5th generation video ipod), but I had some spare from the apple idock.

Play.com also get a gold star, as i could not find this cheaper and delivery and service were 1st class.
