great sound, very unusual for an lcd tv, really good picture. electronic manual accessed from the remote tells you how to change picture settings etc. internet access to youtube and tv/film sites only, is through a cable to your router or a 60 quid sony usb dongle, so i've not tried it yet. plays mp4 video through usb. smartview picture setting can be turned off if you go into display settings, that way the picture ratio will be correct. freeview hd is really sharp. it's an excellent tv, i'm really impressed.
I purchased this TV after being blown away by the picture quality when I saw it in a local store.
The store had about 20 TVs all displaying the same 720dpi video.
The picture quality leaps out at you, it's vibrant and sharp.
I can't wait for HD broadcasts to begin so that I can use it to it's full potential.
I got this at a great value price of 299,99. I had to wait almost a month for the TV to come into stock and be delivered, but at that price I was prepared to be patient. Fantastic picture and crisp sound. I love being able to watch BBC iPlayer on TV rather than laptop. I read negative reviews about the Sony dongle, so bought the Solwise Homeplug adapter for 37.99, which works a treat.
Only gripe about the Sony Bravia is that the screen is more reflective than my previous Phillips TV; when I have a table lamp on it can be seen as a reflection if the scene on the TV is dark,. So had to change position of lamp or watch in the dark.
a simple set up process, brilliant picture, HD Freeview or standard.
Very lightweight and easyto assemble instructions for base (included) and wall bracket (not included), Remote is ok.
Overall for the price i paid 300 i'm very impressed
not yet tried the youtube or bbc iplayer apps but will be plugging into the wireless box and if i like i'll be buying the sony dongle
also lovefilm have an app on this TV so for 8 a month you can stream over 72000 movies
Bought this to replace a tv that had served its time (13 years) and does the job perfectly, crisp sound, great picture and overall excellent tv.
