 Amazing picture quality

Let me just first say how stunning the picture quality is. The 503 gives you 100htz instead of the usual 50htz, this really does make the difference. I have read a lot of reviews about the picture quality and I can definatley say that they are telling the truth.
The menus are really well layed out, are easy to use and are responsive (ie. when you press a button, it reacts quickly rather than having a prominent pause). Also the remote contol is sleek and nice to hold.
I've read about the sound quality not quite being upto scratch but I can't really notice this. It seems ok to me!
The only downside for me is that you have to pay 80 quid for a separate wireless adapter to connect to the internet wirelesly.
It's pretty obvious that this is the tele to buy for this budget. Just look at the amount awards it has won.
Highly reccomended.

 Brilliant tv for the money

I bought this tv hoping and praying that any of the previous backlight bleed and clouding issues had been sorted, especially after the stellar review what hifi had given. Thankfully they have been fixed and the overall tv experience has been improved dramatically over the w5500. I got my parents that tv last year which had these problems, and although they the clouding was not significant it was noticeable in dark scenes.

SD picture is great but HD is where this tv excels. The freeview guide is so much better than on the w5500 and is very clear, as are all the menus and xmb. The remote is also very nice and classy looking, along with the rest of the tv. I dont really have much use for the internet tv stuff or video playback as i have a ps3, but it seems quite useful.

The only downside with this tv is that it doesn't have a proper off button! This is only a minor gripe but previous sony bravias can be turned fully off on the side of the telly, using less energy than standby.

Overall the best telly ive ever had and great value for money, easily worth a grand, if not more.

Really happy with TV, review from what hifi clinched it for me and I can confirm this really is a 5 star telly.

SD freeview looks great and HD freeview and bluerays look amazing and as more channels become available this TV can only get better.

Design and build quility is top notch, sound quality excellent.

Only problem for me is no built in WiFi without the purchase of a dongle.
