Grundig Freeview HD Set Top Box with SDTV Upscalling to HD via HDMI Cable (GUD300HD)

Got this for my parents due to the switchover and was amazed at how easy it was to set up and how clear the picture is, especially in HD. All in all a great purchase.

This box was one of the cheapest available Freeview HD boxes when I bought, and does the job, but certainly feels average quality. I believe they are now made by the same company as Goodmans and Bush; certainly the remote is exactly the same as my Bush freesat box.

This box occasionally is unresponsive to the remote and can be a little unreliable generally. The volume levels are also a bit inconsistent, but ok. Picture quality on SD channels is not fantastic (colour is poor) though much better on HD and upscaling works pretty well.

However setup was quick and it found almost all channels despite my poor aerial and signal area. The HDMI + SCART also work fine together which helps if you want to use a PC monitor and speakers instead of a flatscreen TV (much cheaper and better quality).
