  Cheapest Freeview PVR

For the money this is a great piece of kit. Download the firmware upgrade and connect a portable hard drive or memory stick to the USB port and you have a fully functioning Freeview HD PVR. The only downside is the USB port is on the front, which can make it look a bit untidy on you nice neat TV stand.

  Great purchase!

Couldn't be happier with this. All you do is plug your antenna into this, no need for a dish like freesat or digital antenna, it searches for 5 mins then you have all the channels and HD ones. I've had 3 standard freeview boxes in the past and this one blows them all away. Theres no freezing or menu problems; you can plug in a flash stick or hard disk and play all you divx, avi, mpg etc files; pause live tv; and the HD channels have to be seen to be believed - it's almost blu-ray! When I plugged it in on Saturday low and behold Lord of the Rings Two Towers came on and I was gob smacked for 3 hours. In the future there'll be more HD channels - i can't wait for BBC2,BBC4 and Film4; and they say you'll be able to record onto hard disks once they do an update. Superb.

Looking at the website and Digitalspy site, it looks like this will have recording capability via usb slot with a future upgrade :)
