  Shallow sound

I have no diea why the other review state that these headphones give great sound. I listen to lots of varying types of music and found them all to be lacking in any clarity or power in the notes at all.

The Bass and lower notes are hollow with no depth to them at all. Imagine a circle of a speaker and how the speaker cones into itself in the middle. These lack any of the inner speaker what so ever.

High notes such as the snare on a cymbol hit that special trill level that invokes an almost piercing sound right at the top.

Normally you would put these down to Boom and TIS heaphones, the sort that have no mid range. These neither have midrange let alone any boom and tiss. An example songs by pink floyd that are layered are lifeless beyond comprehension.

THe only good thing I have to say about these is that the headphones do fit snug, even if looking stupid and the microphone / volume control works great. Thats about it!

In short, a set of headphones that sound worse than the standard apple ones

Sound quality is excellent, but earbuds fall out too often, You can control volume and tracks from headphones and also answer calls, Bass is rich and treble is very accurate. The only problem is that they do not fit tightly and tend to fall out all the time when on the move

Having been sorely disappointed by Apple's stock headphones that came with my iPhone, I was on the hunt for new items to enjoy my music and movies with.

With the inline remote and mic I thought these would do the trick. After extended listening, I can happily report the EX300iP to be brilliant headphones.

First off is the fit. They are the plug-in type and come with 3 different size earbuds. With the right size, the fit is snug and very comfortable - you can wear them for long periods with no discomfort at all. They also cut out the majority of ambient noise.

As expected with Sony, the design is modern and slick. They are quite light but are built to a high standard - again, a given with Sony products.

As for the sound, they deliver a crisp, clean treble, sufficient mid-range body for vocals, and nice warm, deep but punchy bass.

Suffice to say they are a massive upgrade from the Apple stock headphones. The remote and mic work well - and voice control for calling is supported too.

Overall, I'm delighted with them, and would even buy them at 55 GBP RRP. That I purchased them for 33 GBP from Play makes them an even more impressive bargain. Hats off to Play too.

Buy with confidence,
