Maxell headset not bad headset I will buy a new pair once I need more

Just received my earphones this morning, through the promotional offer most people are using to get this. Even though the packaging by Play was excessive and the actual earphone plastic box frustrating to open (the plastic was stiff and you have to cut through it using scissors, do it on the side so you don't cut the travel bag or wires), the actual earphones are better than you expect. First impressions are not good, however. The buds are made from cheap plastic and the volume control does not look solidly built. However when you actually put these in your ears you can't help but notice how comfortable and lightweight they are. They give you different sized earbuds but it fit perfectly in my ears straight away.
When you start listening to music you can hear that these earphones do have some bass, which is also surprising. Then again, they are in-ear headphones. I think the bass can get in the way a bit of the treble in some songs so its sometimes muffles the singing, but it is not much of a problem.
I think you people will be surprised by the sound quality when you get yours!

These are excellent for a fiver and with alot of bass (more than my old senn cx300) and with the longer arm they realy fit perfectly in/on your ears.

These earphones are great! They fit snugly into your ears and produce a very full sound. They have good bass and nice trebles too. The volume slider works fairly well and they have a nice long flex. Seriously, for 10 pounds (or free with an iPod) these are an absolute bargain!

My only query is that the earphones come with three different sized ear buds, which is good. The small ear buds fit pretty well for me, but the other two sizes are much too big and don't fit! Lots of friends have tried them too and only the small ones fit. I guess the people at Maxell must have big ears!
