  A Hidden Gem!

I needed an SD card to record video on my Canon 550D as all my other ones just weren't cutting it and this works perfectly. I've had no issues with it and it's an absolute bargain for such a high quality card!

  A great memory card.

I bought this to go with my new Nikon D5100 DSLR. I have lots of 4GB Play.com branded SDHC's but they are class4 and I wanted something for quick capture and also more capacity to make the most of the HD Video recoding feature on the D5100.

I went with a known brand this time. The Play.com ones are fantastic but for the extra 3 pounds I thought I'd get a PNY one to try it out.

Capacity rating is just space really. It is what it is; so the best way to test the card is to perform some continuous shots on the DSLR. This card is brilliant. After taking 10 continuous shots in top quality JPEG settings, each picture appears on the quick preview screen within half a second. There is still a slight delay but not much.

I compared this to my Class4 4GB Play.com SDHC cards and on said card it takes well over a second for each picture to appear, so the verdict: This 16GB PNY Class 10 SDHC card is faster than a 4GB Play.com Class 4 SDHC card! (obviously).

That wasn't the best comparison but either way, this card is very fast. I don't bother with DSLR software for my PC, I just connect the card directly and drag off the photos (I open RAW format in Photoshop). The transfer speed between the card and my PC is very very fast. Having this quick class 10 card means I can transfer multiple GB of photos in a few 10's of seconds rather than waiting multiple minutes as I had to do with class 4's. Also, I can work 'live' from the card, previewing and deleting files on the card before transferring. This was awful with a Class4 due to delays in deleting and opening photos directly from the card. With this Class10 card I can work as quick as I can working from the PC's hard drive.

A brilliant choice of card for a DSLR. Tons of capacity that if just used for taking top quality JPEG images, should easily last you a whole holiday and also has easily enough space for a few days worth of RAW format photography. The speed is great, not only with taking burst shots on the DSLR but also transferring the photos to your PC.

It is far cheaper at 15.99 on play.com than anywhere else so what are you waiting for?

  Great price, great service!

It doesn't seem so long since I paid over 60 quid for a 2GB SD card. These 16 GB's are available at a fantastic price, working in Canon, Fuji and Nikon camera's straight out of the box. Been all over and never let us down. One card has been hammered in a Cannon SLR and card reader and always proves reliable. Just recieved a couple more from Play (total 8 in the family)
It was a shock the other week when they were shown at over 22.00 but at 15.99, no other SD, Class 10 card comes close in my humble opinion.
The only gripe they used to come in an individual plastic SD case. Buy!

  Unreliable with my DSLR

Bought a pair of these, as they appear good value for money.
However, after taking a few pictures with my Pentax K20D, the camera starts showing "image was not stored"... Yesterday, I took a series of photos & reviewed them so I knew they were ok, then after "image was not stored" appeared later, I reviewed all pictures again, and all showed an error. When I got home the card appeared empty, and it took an hour with recovery software to get my photos off the card. I've used it on 2 weekends away now, and both times were let down in this way.
Unfortunately I've missed the 30 days return policy, or they'd be going back. I bought them for my up-coming summer holiday, but I'm not taking something I can't rely on.
I have 2 * 8Gb SanDisk cards, I'll be switching back to the better brand in future...

  Excellent fast card.

Purchased to use with a Canon 550D and works perfectly. Speed tested against a Lexar Premium Series 100x card that was purchased for 59.99 on the high street and the PNY absolutely blows it away.

used with my Canon 550D for video, worked great the first time I used it. but then it s been pretty useless as it keeps stoping the recording every few seconds! i owned many other brands such as scandisk, transcend and this only happened with this card.

Class 10 16gb SDHC for less than twenty quid - bargain. Works well in my Lumix TZ10. No case supplied but mine wil be staying put in the camera anyway.

Not as fast as my Sandisk Extream Class 6 Card but ....

..Hey, it's a quarter of the price and do you always want to take more than 6 shots in as many seconds? Only arrived today, so I haven't used it in anger yet, but looks good. A bit mean of PNY not to include a case for it.

  Great Card and Great Value!

Purchased my Canon EOS 50D recently and got a Sandisk Ultra 8GB card with the deal. Just received my PNY Class 10 from Play and the performance has gone to a completely new level - very impressive and highly recommended!
