Goodmans GDB1225DTR / 250GB / Freeview Digital Set Top Box Recorder

My reason for giving this 4 stars is purely down to the lenght of the power cable , which for some unknown reason is very short, and makes it impossible to put this set top box on top of the set, Otherwise it is brilliant, We will be able to take this on holiday, being small and light, plug into any telly being caravan, holiday camp, b&b etc and record onto the hard drive anything we want whilst we are out, Never miss Match of the day whilst camping ever again. Also the picture quality on a very old telly is great, and is the easiest thing I have ever installed , buy now at this price.

I have recently cancelled my sky subscription and what I miss the most is the ability to pause live T.V, Record and Series Link. These were the reasons for purchasing this set-top box and it provides these functions brilliantly.

The five star rating is also an indication of how easy installation and tuning was as well as a reflection of value for money (assuming you get it at the discounted price of around eighty quid!!).

Quick delivery, easy installation, easy to use and good value for money - what else do you need?

HDD fails CONSTANTLY
Records when it chooses to - Rarely records what you ask
Hums Loud and Makes a loud Bang when turned off
Remote control is cheap and sometimes unusable
amazed that this product was ever released.. disgusting piece of equipment - go elsewhere
