I bought these over the mdr-v150, and realised as soon as my first song finished that it was a mistake. I thought they would be an upgrade as they where seven pounds more expensive than the mdr's, but obviously not. They look great, but sound fails to fulfil, left wanting more. mdr-v150 any day. :(
These headphones are a major disappointment, the bass flatters to decive. soft at times, too much treble which possibly overpowers bass frequencies. I own a pair of mdr v 150, and those are mind blowingly amazing for the 9.99 price. Sound tests were completed on a Ipod Shuffle 2nd Gen, Ipod Touch 3rd Gen and a Acer 5920g With HD Audio Manager. The only good feature of these headphones are its looks, looks fantastic in red.
I've bought cheaper headphones which have had better sound quality. I'm no sound expert but to me, the bass sound is quite thin, although the trebles are all right.
On the plus side they are light and look quite nice. But you could definitely find better.
