- The sound quality makes no noticeable difference with a speaker this size. I (and I'm assuming most people) listen to the radio off the alarm for 5 mins in the morning when the alarm goes off and so there is no real need to have DAB on this alarm. The only real difference is that there are no interference noises.
- The display (time) is TINY. Digits are about 10mm high. The only reason I manage to see it at night is because my eyesight is good. Someone who uses glasses has no chance.
- The display "cleverly" adjusts to the surrounding light, so when it's daytime you can almost see it and when it's night time, you can hardly see it. People who can't sleep with the alarm clock light on will have no issues here.
- The inclination of the display makes it almost invisible (not exaggerating) when the alarm clock is at head height. The alarm clock has to be lower than your head and pointing directly at your head to see it. People with bedside tables at head height will not be able to see the display.
- The buttons are small and all bunched up together. The snooze button is small and feels like all the other buttons. So in the morning you may either hit the snooze or the alarm off button... it makes mornings a little more exciting.
- The only reason I gave it 2 stars is because the time automatically adjusts itself using the DAB service which made the alarm go off at the correct time even though there was a power shortage. However, a normal alarm clock with an emergency battery should do the same.
- Very poorly thought out product... not a great advocate for British Product Design.
