Good value for money, reasonable performance

Quick benchmark using CrystalMark 32bit on Dell M1330 Core2Duo Laptop, 5 repts 500MB:
Sep read:13.82MB/s write:12.71MB/s
512K random read:13.54MB/s write:1.28MB/s
4k random: read:3.695MB/s write:0.026MB/s

But compare to an old 1Gb micro sd card I used in my satnav:
Sep read:13.61MB/s write:7.218MB/s
512K random read:13.51MB/s write:2.341MB/s
4k random: read:5.746MB/s write:0.025MB/s

The play.com 16Gb Class 10 sd card do not performance so impressively consider its class 10 rating and the "up to 23MB/s" claimed performance.

I guess the max seq read/write performance maybe limited by the card reader on my laptop.

just tried out this card in my Panasonic DMC-FZ150 camera...works great with no need to format it, even for storing video clips.

  Great Value for Money

Is just as effective, if not more effective, than other SD cards out there with branded names, making them only more expensive. Play.com memory cards and SD cards (if you read all the reviews, and have owned one before) are good quality and extremely durable. This SD card works perfectly with my Canon 600D when taking shots and recording HD videos. I am going to buy a few more to use. (Better to buy 2 or 3 of these than splash out 40 pounds on a more expensive card, that could one day corrupt and kill all the photos on it). Great buy if you own any digital camera/SLR that requires an SD card for memory

  Great card....while it worked.

Died in less than 10 uses....luckily I had backed up my photo's just before it went.

I bought this for my Lumix FS35. 30mb per sec is great for video capture and the card is such a low price for class 10. I have had no problems with write lag or file corruption as you might usually get with cheap cards. Be aware you may have to format the card to suit your camera's firmware (I did) before it will let you record video - you can usually do this from within the camera menu. This is not Play's fault, just an FYI. Generic cards won't come formatted specifically for your device.

Excellent little SD card. It's class 10, it's 16GB, it works in my camera and allows me to shoot HD video clips. It's got plenty of room for high-quality photographs and It's got a five year warranty too. So in the unlikely event of it packing up, you can get it replaced for free!

Don't be suckered in by big brands. This is a fantastic product at a superb price. Oh, and it's got free delivery too!

Why pay more? A Real Bargain!

I use these on my Panasonic camcorder - in 1080P I have found other makes of class 4 sometimes stutter during playback so was on the lookout for something faster... These work flawlessly I definitely will be buying more! They are a real bargain...

  Great Card

I am very impressed by the speed of this SD Card, it certainly makes a difference when shooting in multi burst mode. Highly recommended.

  Great value and quality !

Used this card with my multi mode Panasonic sd700 HD video camera which can be 'selective' with some cards, especially in the HD mode.

The resulting quality was excellent, both for video and still pictures, with high speed results all round equal to, if not better tha,n other more expensive cards.

Gr8 value and will certainly buy again !
