I never leave reviews but felt obliged to after trying out these headphones for myself...

I have a 2 hour commute to work everyday so I wear headphones an awful lot... My main headphones are Beats by Dre Solo HD over ear phones but I wanted a set of in-ear phones as sometimes the Beats are a little bulky or its awkward if I'm going out straight from work and I wanted a set I could put away in my pocket.

My previous in-ear headphones (Ultimate Ears Superfi 5vi) had given up on me so I needed something new. I read a lot of reviews about the JVCs and I thought at this price I'd give them a shout - how glad I am I did!!!

I listen to mainly metal/rock music and the bass really does sound incredible - but not the the detriment of the mid-range and treble.

These are the closest sounding in-earphones Ive heard to the 169.99 over ear Beats in the bass department... so for 16.99 they're an absolute bargain!

  Brilliant

Great sound quality

Usually listen to my ipod on my way to work on the Tube, its a nice change not to hear the clunking of a train and/or crying children. Just you and your music :) Very comfortable aswell

Using the right EQ and my god these things actually hurt haha, i'm using these to replace my Sony X-Bass MDR XB20, and my god it smashed it!

I gave it 4 star because they are a little on the big side, but the volume and bass you get from these are like nothing iv'e ever heard before. Absolutely love these, going to order another pair right now, Fantastic for all you low fequency bass lovers, Dubstep, Bassline, and Drum and bass never sounded so good!!

  wow!

  Ideal for gym/running

First of all, for the VERY low price they offer a good bass response, smooth and deep, but these headphones are let down by the mids and highs, they are brash, loud and tinny and in some songs even overpower the strong basslines.
Imagine a high grade Sub, matched with low-grade tweeters.
Perfect for running or the gym where more expensive headphones are a no-no. Fairly rugged build too, but definitely not for the audiophiles.

These are absolutely brilliant and way below the rrp. The sound is crisp, clear and neatly bassy. The plastic isn't cheap or nastly, the ear-fit is very comfortable and the volume can go very high, should you wish it to be so. BUY THESE!

REALLY GOOD IN EARS AT SUCH A CHEAP PRICE!

I've bought these JVC XX to replace my Philips SHE8000 because just after 1 DAY! the right side had a drop in volume and bass. These in-earphones are just absolutely FANTASTIC! It has a deep bass for all the bass lovers, there are no distortions when playing genres such as dubstep.
The in-ear's are well built, thicker wires then others which hopefully can last as long! They fit nicely even though they are quite big but don't let that get you down on buying these. they don't fall out if you wear the right ear buds.
I would recommend these in ears to anyone at such a good value.

  Outstanding

As an obsser of headphones, I was hesitant at first to buy a pair of JVCs, as they have been known to produce cheaper kinda tacky items in the past. But i wanted a pair of canel headphones for a cheap price and thought these looked good.

They outperform my previous in ear sennheiser CZ300IIs, not by loads, but comparing the two, these produce a crisp high fidelity sound with louder and better quality bass reflex too.
I love them, lets just hope they last. :)
