This cam is impossible to mount to any helmet. The cheap and nasty handlebar mount is huge, if you have lights and a computer this will not fit on the bars.My cam keeps shutting down randomly and as soon as i find the box i will return

Easy to use but disappointing footage

Very easy to use as it comes with a 4GB micro SD card and clear if somewhat brief instructions.
The one thing the instructions don't tell you is that the power light is Red and the capture light (that flashes during video) is Blue but when you switch on the blue light comes on then switches to red, wait for this switch before hitting the power light again to start recording when the blue light will flash with the red light steady, to switch off, press and hold the power light until the blue light flashes once then let go and the lights go out.
Handle bar mount is secure and reasonably adjustable.
Helmet mount consists of elastic straps with tension adjusters and a loop for the camera, it is not well thought out and very difficult to adjust to get the right angle and with the lack of a viewfinder the camera is difficult to position for a good shot.
Field of view is quite narrow exacerbating the problem of setting the angle on the helmet mount.
the handlebar mount is easier to adjust to the correct angle but the camera does not tolerate vibrations very well with the video footage looking like you are at sea with ripples and auto focus not able to keep up giving image blur.
The light is bright and effective to see with but the night vision of the camera is a waste of time.
Once set up on the helmet with the natural vibration resistance of your body, the footage is clear but I ended up using elastic bands to hold the helmet mount in the right place for the camera angle.

  Not great

A well-designed little unit, but it's irrevocably let down by the handlebar mount which won't tighten adequately. It's also just a cheap chewing gum style (Google "MD80 cameras") low resolution video camera in some fancy pants packaging. You can pick up four of these for the same current price as the Bike Cam.

Great gadget but i have given it a 3 due to fitting problems which i had to tamper with but managed to secure the camera in its holder as it kept slipping out
I use this camera on my Moped as i have had near experiences on the roads with other road uses and having this camera makes me feel a little bit more secure on the roads knowing if something was to happen I have video evidence I have it situated on the rear of my Moped so I can record my journey to and from work Great Gadget and thanks Play

  Ideal little camera for fun.

Not bad for the money. I paid 30 pounds the other week for mine but would willingly have paid the 40 pounds Play.Com are asking for it now.
They say you get what you pay for but Play.Com have clearly given me more for the 30 pounds I paid.
Cheers.

Potentially Good... but too many design errors

Beware - the handle-bar fixing for this is just too badly made - the threads are not well enough made, and the rubber mounting too thick to allow the device to be secured without the threads suddenly popping open!
I couldn't be bothered with the hassle of returning the device and, being an engineer, have developed a more secure fixing.

Also, Storage Options customer support (technical) is useless. One of the things that would be useful about this camera is in capturing evidence of any incidents. A timestamp on the recordings is therefore useful, but mine is set in January 2008. Storage Options claim this cannot be changed. NOT helpful!

Potentially a good product but just too poorly executed to be worth while - shame.

Positives:
Compact, camera sturdy, micro sd included, light effective, easy to work, resolution good.
Negatives: 4gd sd card had 3.5gb of rubbish on it. Head strap broke first time tried to use it. Handlebar mount poor build quality.
Overall: Camera good but accessories rubbish. Happy though as only paid 29.99 for it.
