I just ordered my second set of these 'phones. I've had a set for 5 years, during which I have used them daily. They've been dropped, knocked, squashed, constantly pulled in and out of various devices. Obviously they're looking a bit worse for wear; in fact the plug is at a funny angle due to someone tripping on the cable and yanking it out of the PC... this killed my sound card's socket... but the headphones survived this and all the other abuse they've taken over the years. They still work and still sound as good as they ever did.

Which brings me to my next and most important point... they sound great. Admittedly I am not an 'audiophile'; I just love music. Many different genres of music, all of which these 'phones handle very well. They like bass and are particularly good for hip-hop, reggae, blues and rock. I seem to get the best sound by simply using Winamp's "Reggae" preset for almost everything. They are also great for movies and games.

Finally they are comfortable. Many headphones cause problems for me when wearing glasses, but not these. They are light enough to wear for extended periods, and they fit well without applying excessive pressure. Plus the long cable is very handy... even if it is occasionally a Health and Safety risk ;-)

These headphones are much better than you should expect for the price. The build quality may not look great, but they really are built to last - which is why I'm buying them again, not as a replacement but as a spare for the ones which still do the job after 5 years of hard use. In the interests of a balanced review I want to say something bad about them, but I honestly can't think of anything...

 Well Happy.

After becoming more and more frustrated with earphones, I thought I'd go for some portable cans to get the best from my iPod.

The sound quality is very good indeed so hats off to Play.com for a decent tenner off.

The only thing is that they don't fold that well so if you are on the move, you will need room in your handbag or manbag to put them away. The long cable could be annoying too.

I am very happy with them though.

 EXCELLENT

These are great headphones, they have an excellent sound once you've adjusted the equalizer properly. They're comfortable to wear and fold up easily, good design.
The Cable is very long, which is great, but if you want it shorter it can easily be tied up.

All in all, a great buy for an excellent price.

 An Ipod Must Have!!

After searching around for weeks trying to find the perfect set of headphones for my ipod, i had my heart set on a set of Skullcandy's but after reading so many bad reviews about very bad quality i decided that it just wasnt worth a 30+ risk. After seeing these Sony Dj's online for this price i brought them hoping that they lived up to everything i wanted and i must say that they do!

Pros - Great sound quality
Long cable for dancing around the room with!
Very comfortable for long use
Bargain price
Great bass
Realiable build quality

Cons - Sadly do not fold up that small, but would fit in most handbags or cases.

Yet again Sony pull it out of the bag with these ipod perfect headphones!!

 Wow

For £29.99 you would expect to be geting a reasonable pair of ear buds but now you can get the Sony MDR-V300 headphones, these are the best headphones I have listened to they sound awsome but one thing I would say is the 3metre cable is very long but I jus roled it up and put a zip tie round it and now I can honestey say that are they best £30ish I have ever spent they are a must buy !
