If you're a big downloader on the Virtual Console or want to make full use of the Photo Channel, then look no further.
The Wii's memory can fill up very quickly with VC games, so these are very handy to back up your games without having to redownload them from the Wii Shop all of the time.
And for this price, who can argue?

Loads of space on this jewel of an SD Card and works incredibly well with the Wii.
This is priced between £14.99 - £19.99 in almost every shop ive seen it in, so for £5.99 its a truly great price!
This memory card can be used to back up game saves, store Virtual console games and transport data from one wii to another!. Definitely useful if you like downloading from the VC. Another good point is on games such as excite truck- you can import music off the memory card! The price is currently cheaper than the standard 1gb san disk sd card on play.com too! As it is an official wii branded product it also wouldn't void or mess up any warranty if anything did go wrong! A usefull addition!
