I have had two sets of these from play.com. The first arrived and and the left earphone went quiet. I complained to play and they very quickly despatched a second set. I have had these for about three months and now the right earphone has gone quiet. They only cost me 6.99 (in white) so not the end of the world, but I would rather not be replacing them every few months.

A superb pair of headphones, very good quality and the price makes it even better. The sound exclusion makes them very useful for me as I get the train allot. Recommended to all that like in ear headphones.
Better than £250 Headphones IMO

Truly Sony made a diamond in the rough here, I would take these over my Shure E3C's any day, they are a pleasure to listen to in EVERY aspect:
Quality: Great
Comfort: Great
Size: Perfect
Noise Cancelling: Even can use on aeroplanes.
Very Durable
Price: Icing on the cake my friends.
If your in the phase of buying £100, £150, £200, £250 head/earphones like I was, maybe you won't listen to me, and that's fine, but if money is a concern, then I HIGHLY recommend these phones.
I went out without my £250 phones one day, bought a temporary pair of these for £20 in the high street and they ended up blowing my £250 E3C's into the dust, haha, if only I bought these first, I would have saved time and money.
Peace.
Broke after a month!

Bought these on 14.06.08 to replace a previous pair of Sony's (different model) which had lasted me years. However, they had gotten a little worse for wear so decided to invest in another pair of Sony's, given that I was so impressed with the sound quality. I wish I hadn't bothered. The left earphone has gone crackly already, which totally spoils the music. I've gone back to a spare pair of Philips which I kept for just such occasions. Won't be buying another set of these to replace the broken pair, that's for sure. I would advise people to put their money to something of higher quality. Very disappointing for Sony.
Superb headphones!!!

I owned a Sennheiser CX 300 which was extremely good. My friend liked it so much that he took it away from me. For a change from Sennheiser, I purchased this headphone with all my trust in Sony (I own a Sony VAIO and Sony Ericcson too :P ). What can I say? ***This is the best headphone money can buy***. Superbly priced below 20 quid . I am able to hear the clarity and depth that I could not listen on the Senn's. The bass is amazing, the highs and mids just perfect. The build quality is good and the supplied storage case is handy. Guys don't waste money on those headphones costing you an arm or a leg. I would advise every friend of mine to buy this headphone.
I am totally amazed. Keep up the good work SONY ;-)

Got these recently and can't believe they're Sony. Plugged them in expecting the 'bass' they talk about on the packaging and I'm still waiting.. They play softer than all my other headphones and it sounds like you're in a hall no matter what settings for bass etc you apply. Gave them to my girlfriend put it that way!
Personal Taste I Guess.

I bought these to replace a set that broke and thought I'd try something different for a change.
Despite what other people seem to say about them I don't think the sound quality is great. To me the very lowest and very highest frequencies are boosted a little compared to the rest so the middling frequencies can sound a bit flat at times. I'm the kind of person that is quite picky about sound quality so this is a big downer to me. Like the title says, I guess this part is down to personal taste and how your hearing is. Some people like them, I don't.
One thing I'll give these headphones is that they're excellent at keeping out external noise. I was listening to music in bed this morning when my sister came to wake me up so that we could get Mother's Day stuff ready, and she had to physically poke me before I realised she was there. If you're looking for headphones that cut the rest of the world out then these are great, and from experience noise cancelling headphones aren't much better.
So, they're decent-ish headphones to my ears, but far from a new favourite. I think I'll go back to my Sony MDR-ED21LP's next time.

Best headphones iv ever had, they even block outside noise. They have never fallen out and you dont have that worry about when they do. The differnt size earbuds allow perfect fit.

Great fit, great sound, great buy
with different size pads
Well if your one of those people who is a sucker for clarity and not just load undefined banging go for a set of these. The clarity as always is great base is deep. If your like me and your ears are some what large the rubber type gromet stops these from falling out of your ears perfect while at the gym or jogging. Simple and light design makes them suttle. You get more volume for you and less for the people around you. I have the white ones but black is just as good.
