  BASS!!

| | See all DanLovell's reviews (1)

Good, but the bass is far too bloated and muddy (not that detailed). I found these too bassy even with EQ set with bass at minimum and treble at max. Great if you like LOADS of bass. The bane of your ears if you do not.

  Decent

Great sound, close to unbeatable, and a bargain price. However the wire is far too short, i have to use an extension cable with them :(

  disappointed.

  Sony MDR-EX85

The sound quality is good with excellent treble and mid levels (although some may find they have too much bass-I soon got use to them) They are comfortable and excellent for running/cycling as they stay in position in your ears. They are also good for these activities as you can still hear ambient noise around you (which is a negative if you want to completely isolate noise). I bought them for about £15 off play when they were on offer; for that price I think they are a bargain.

  Fantastic

I picked these puppies up 3 months ago and havnt failed me yet,

i actually got the white ones which were 13.99 and are exactly the same except the colour.

good isolation and freq. response, and there is just no comparison to ipod headphones, when i use ipod ones they just feel like they are going to fall out.

The carry case really helps as well especially if your headphones are going into your bag...

Nice Quality, but only worth it when on offer.

I bought these to replace the headphones that come with iPods and they work great.
The earbud bit comes in 3 different sizes (I use the smaller one) and dispite being very intimidating at first, actaully are quite comfortable after a few moments.
Sound wise they do their job very nicely with a clear sound that blocks any sound from the outside and bass is at a perfect level that I can apprciate without it distorting any of the music.
I got these for £13.99 which was a bargin but I wouldn't spend £47.99 on them. I have seen similar earphones here on play.com that would probably be of similar quality but much cheaper, thats why I'm giving these four stars instead of five.

  Great sound, lousy noise isolation

I only give two stars here for the quality of the sound, which is superior to the previous pair of Phillips inner-ear headphones I previously owned. The actual ear pieces are awkward to fit in your ear, can be quite painful and hardly reduce any outer noise at all so if you are buying them for noise reduction, don't bother.

  The best headphones ever!!!!

I had these headphones when i purchased a sony walkman last year, but i broke the headphones whilst running for a bus!! I then bought a pair of ex90's but i then found out that they were not as good as i thought they would be. So thats when i bought a new pair of ex85's as they are simply the best pair of headphones that i have used. Also the price of these is just as good. The superior sound quality and bass responce is simply awsome! So i would recommend these headphones to everyone!!
