Awesome purchase for the price - and I spent a LONG time researching TVs. All the specs on the item are correct so I won't go into it. It's a beautiful piece of work.

The only problem is that some TV is broadcast and it 'stretches' on the screen so that the edges of the image are lost (eg when watching ITV2, for my sins, the "ITV2" logo is cut off slightly at the top of the screen - this happens on about 30% of channels.

I have been told that this is because it is a 37" TV and is not the native resolution (32) or a regular size (40 or 42 etc). Therefore some channels you will lose some of the image.

This tv consumes my wall! due to the strange shape of my room i was restricted to a 37" TV but to go from a 19" combi to this is a monster!

with a PS3 at its side so i can watch blu-ray and play all my HD games this makes it that that much better!

the freeview is handy when i dont have digital in my room. ive found myself watching dave alot more.

all in all if your looking for a big a*# screen to play your games on and have a one of the best cinematic experiences then choose this! its a fantastic TV for a Fantastic value!

I adore Samsung products. This TV looks gorgeous and is of decent quality. The price makes it nice and affordable within the 37" market. However. Disappointment...

The sound is tinny. Sometimes you think you'll stick the volume up on a movie, or music video or a game? Not on this TV you won't!

Most disappointing is this - this TV has touch sensitive volume, channel and source controls on the side. I have never used these. With 2 months of purchase I was watching something and the volume started to go up on its own all the way to 100. The remote does nothing to cancel this. I discover that of these touch controls (which beep when touched) the volume up pad does not beep - basically it is stuck. Switching power off at the wall resets this but every couple of days the same thing happens. Sometimes it continues to do this at 5 minute intervals. Incredibly annoying. And poor on Samsungs part.

If you have the cash go for a better model. Either a better 37" or to the brilliant 32" models of the alternative range.

This Tv for its price is amazing, however it is this price for a reason.
Firstly, the speakers are located at the back of the tv like all samsung tv's so surround sound system is required unless you like the crappy tin sound. seems to struggle when theres alot on screen (ghostly) images, easy to setup fast del, if you have the extra money should buy the next model up.

Is this t.v the r88 or the r87? Any help is much apreciated

You won't be disappointed with this! Looks great and a breeze to set up. xbox360 looks lush.

I was seriously contemplating buying online as it was my very first purchase online and I absolutely love this tele... couldn't ask for better... delivery time was great too!
Now I want to get the Samsung HTA100T Home cinema system! but a bit tentative as no one has left a comment or review... if anyone knows about this one let me know!!

Anyway overall - the quality, sound, everything is definitely 10/10 especially for the price! Don't hesitate to buy!

As others say this is an AMAZING TV!! And for £499 its a real steal! My PS3 & 360 look stunning connected via HDMI! If you get the chance buy the stand (£60) as its well worth the money and looks fantastic with the TV!
Only negative i have is i orderd the TV on the Friday morning and Play LOST the 1st one i ordered! They had to send another and all in it took just over a week to arrive! 5 STAR TV though!

Ordered Saturday arrived Wednesday. No hassle, superb tv as other reviews say just tweek the picture a little bit but otherwise a must buy

For £499, this is an absolute bargain! My PlayStation 3 & HD HDD Media Player work perfectly though HDMI (honestly, the picture quality is amazing), and even the Wii (Component) and SD Sky box (scart) look as-good-as-it-gets through it!
Highly recommended.
