These headphones are briliant, the sound quality is awesome and the bass is amazingly loud and clear. I found myself lost in the quality of the audio sometimes and actually felt like I was at a gig.
This was, obviously, until the connector gave up. They don't work anymore. I should probably mention it took 2, maybe 3 weeks for the connector to break, I wasn't happy. I'm still not happy, hence the writing of this review. I admit that if I had maybe been more careful, the headphones would survive, but by "careful" I mean put them in a cushioned pouch every time they're not in use and store them safely somewhere no one ever goes. Because if you don't do this, they WILL BREAK AFTER A FEW WEEKS.
So in summary, great while they lasted, annoying that they lasted so little.
Footnote: This seems to happen with "Ink'd" headphones as well, so I wouldn't really recommend either of these to anyone. I would however, recommend Skullcandy's range of "Lowrider's" which are far superior (i.e. don't break.)
Sorry for the negativity but at least you can now consider yourself warned. :P

Very good, but build quality could be better.

These headphones have an amazing sound to them, far superior to most other headphones I've tried... until wear and tear kicks in. I used these headphones like a typical 16 year old would - wrapped around an ipod (I left a little bit of a loop to ease the strain on the plug), left in a school bag during the day and in a jean pocket with some keys when listening to them. I got them Christmas 2008 and have lasted until now (October 09) when they finally broke. The reason - a faulty connection in the jack. The other build quality issue was after about 6 months, an annoying rattle developed in the left earphone, but it only came on at about 9/10 volume. I've had some INK'd Skullcandies before that were absolutely dire compared to these. The bass is smooth (providing you have the correct earplug in), the treble isn't tinny at all and it hardly distorted at all at top volume. I'd highly reccommend them to anyone because of the amazing sound, just you may need to splash out on some new ones every 8 months.

  buy ink'd instead!

I bought the ink'd models which are cheaper than these, which are awesome. They broke so i replaced them with these smokin buds, the sound is nowhere near the quality of the cheaper ink'd ones!! also, these broke after about 2 months of light use. I will buy either some more ink'd ones, or save a little more and purchase some lowriders!

  Good Sound Poorly Made

I have now had 5 pairs of these in 2 years. The first pair lasted me 8 months and from then on its been a new pair roughly every 4 months. The sound goes from one or both earphones and without any obvious damage to the cable or overuse. These are good to get from Play because they are very good at replacing the item or refunding the money as long as it is within a year.
I have finally got sick of getting replacement headphones and have changed brands. I will not buy Skullcandy again...

Have to agree with most of the reviews here, good sound but after a year the left ear cuts in & out all the time, shame as I was pleased with the sound quality.

  Good Sound, Short Life

Ordered & recieved these a few weeks ago and the ones I recieved are more of a dark grey. But that doesn't really matter at all.
Wires are incredibly thin and delicate looking, and after reading all those negative reviews I feel constantly on edge when using them. I feel like the smallest snag will break them.

On the plus side, the sound is great, the volume switch is incredibly sensitive; but useful and great. The earphones themselves don't look too bad, either. Not bad for the price.

  Good quailty but short life

Good quality but two pairs failed in under one year. Last item returned has been mysteriously lost in the post - so no replacement provided by Play. Hoping Skullcandy will have the decency to replace...

these headphones are great had these for months the longest pair of headphones and then they went and broke i do use them regularly as maybe the reason why but it was because of the connection on the the headphone jack
