The superb-sounding Altec AHP712 headphones with Active Noise Reduction are ideal for the frequent traveler or anyone in a noisy environment. Active Noise Reduction technology uses small microphones to 'listen' to ambient sounds and special circuitry to create a sound wave 180degrees out of phase from the ambient sounds. When the sound wave is played through the headphones, it reduces ambient noises, to allow users to focus on their music, movies or games.

These ANR headphones are comfortable to wear.
Having tested them in a "machine room" full of computers I can confirm
they do reduce background noise well (even when not playing music).
I like the convenient ANR On/OFF switch and volume control.
This package is complete with a carry bag and adaptors for use on
passenger aircraft headphone sockets.
In terms of sound quality, I like the sound reproduction and bass response.
Recommended for computer system admins in noisy machine rooms!

Happy Linux installing...
