My previous camera Pentax T20 was bought due to the fact it had a touch screen and a 3" display. It lasted 6 months and produced some good but mainly bad photo's. I decided to put some research into my purchase this time and I spotted the Canon IXUS 960IS - the 12 mega pixel version of this camera. I read so many review which all said it was bigger, a bit slower, not as good in doors as it's brother the IXUS 950IS. If you aren't planning to blow your pictures up into poster size save your money and go with this 8 mp version.

The camera produces some of the best indoor shots I've seen, it has loads of scene modes to cater for most environments. Other features include colour swap - yes, swapping colours round in a photo post-capture and removing all colour except for one e.g making everything black and white except for say the red aspects of the room. Face recognition is another feature which works perfectly.

If you want a point and shoot camera with a creative side this is ideal. Canon have really done well here!
