I was really impressed with how easy it was to install on my Vista laptop and use the scanner. The quality of the prints exceeded my expectations. I have a lot of old family slides that have been gathering dust for years and could not believe the quality that came through on the computer. I also tried the negatives and compared the image with an original, there was hardly any difference. I highly recommend this product.

Pros:

- Small
- Simple to set up
- Easy to use
- Fairly fast

Cons:

- Tendency to blow out bright areas slightly - especially when there are mixed light conditions.
- Slides/negs need to be manually aligned.

Summary:

I used this to scan 100's of slides belonging to my father-in-law. The aim was to get them scanned rather than being excellent quality. This was achieved with the minimum of fuss and effort - the vast majority of the scans are great, perhaps 1 in 10 is not so great.

Above all, highly recommended - if there were a 4 1/2 star rating I would give it!

I recently acquired a mountain of slides from a late relative of family photographs from years gone by - I spotted the VEHO whilst searching the web for a device that would enable me to scan and save the slides and negatives to my pc and print selected photo,s - This item is the business - it is extremely simple to use - the transfer picture quality is first class and I was able to start tranferring the photo slides to pc only a few minutes after connecting the item to my pc.
