Key to the DVDHD1080's impressive spec list is an HDMI output with 1080p upsampling. This means that, provided you have a compatible TV, you can enjoy your DVDs at the highest resolution currently possible. Even if your TV doesn't have an HDMI interface, then the DVD-HD1080p7 will still be able to offer a high quality connection. Both component and high quality RGB SCART sockets are fitted, meaning that even with analogue transmission of video, you'll get a picture that's stable, detailed and realistic.

I recently bought a new 42" LCD TV and thought I would upgrade my DVD player as well.
I saw this and bought it mainly for the price. Not only is it a great price but the difference in quality is amazing. East to set up, just simply plug in a HD cable and you are ready to watch.
Very pleased and as always the delivery and service for Play is first class.
Buy it, you won't regret it!
What to Buy??

Hello i have been reading the reviews for this player and its the best you can get for the price and what it does but with the new Sony DVP-NS708H DVD Player coming out soon is it best to wait for this or buy the Samsung player?
Excellent

I couldn't decide wether to buy this or a blu-ray player, but with sony messing about changing the player profiles I decided to go for this player instead. What a good choice, I may not even bother buying a blu-ray player now.
But I did spend 50 quid on a HDMI lead (Monster 400 also from play).
