Well this Pioneer DVD system is excellent!!! The sound is second to none. For 6 small speakers it pumps out a very clear crisp sound!!! The DVD hardrive player is also quality, it plays preaty much most formats, and 250GB is plenty of recording space. I have this set up through my Panasonic 37" 1080p Tv, the picture quality is excellent. The sub houses the amplifier and all the digital cable conections are in the back of that. The only problem is that the wires are difficult to keep managed because they are so long, also the sub is large so check the dimensions. Also the Recorder is complicated, if you read the manual you will have no problems!!! You wont be dissapointed from this quality piece of kit!!!!
