SanDisk Ultra 8GB SDHC SD Memory Card

This is just the card, despite the description and image, it's a decent card and reasonable value (you can get cheaper) but if you are buying it because you get a card reader (and still a lot of card readers can't handle SD HC) you won't get one !

You will receive the newer rebranded Ultra card instead, just like I did. I wanted the older Ultra II line, despite Sandisk claiming these as the same but just repackaged, which is not true (New Ultra line says on packaging "upto 15mb/s Transfer Speed... Write Speed Lower " The older Ultra II line says "minimum 9MB/s Sequential Write" and from various online reviews, the older Ultra II is significantly faster. I use this card along with some Sandisk Extreme III in my 450D. Normal shooting it sees no difference. In burst shooting the Ultra is a hair slower to flush out the buffer.

Here is a crystaldiskmark test done on v3.0 x64:
Sequential Read : 20.725 MB/s
Sequential Write : 12.036 MB/s
Random Read 512KB : 19.766 MB/s
Random Write 512KB : 2.384 MB/s
Random Read 4KB (QD=1) : 4.178 MB/s [ 1020.1 IOPS]
Random Write 4KB (QD=1) : 0.020 MB/s [ 4.9 IOPS]
Random Read 4KB (QD=32) : 4.243 MB/s [ 1035.9 IOPS]
Random Write 4KB (QD=32) : 0.019 MB/s [ 4.7 IOPS]

Like the other guy i thought there was a card reader with this 8 gig card i am not being dim as there is a photo and a write up on it
Come on play sort it out this card shouldn't evan be in this section
But with regard to the sandisk sd cad i am a profesional photographer and i don't trust any other brand.

Came with in days and a nice price. Just ordered another one.

Great value card, My only disappointment is that it doesn't come with The reader pictured, other than that this is a great card to buy
