A great compact digital camera, and a thing of beauty. Very stylish (the black model looks far better than the silver). The LCD screen is of great quality and larger than most other cameras. The user-guide supplied is very basic, but you can download a full and comprehensive manual from the Samsung website.

This camera does everything it says it and does it very well, the picture quality is very good for an 8.1 mp camera user friendly and all the useful functions you will need and at this price you really cant get a better camera even if you spent £100.

Firstly good service from play yet again, delivered in a day! The camera itself is very good quality, the touch sensitive buttons take a few minutes to get use to, but once you get the hang of it, then its pretty simple to use. The instructions aren't that helpful, but overall a great camera that takes high quality photos, for a reasonable price!

I bought this on the strength of the other reviews and I am not disappointed. For £90 you get a decent little camera, perfect for everyday use. And it looks great too. Thoroughly recommended. Only downsides are the getting used to the menu controls and the instruction booklet is poor. However, the cd has a more detailed guide and this seems to be ok.

My first test shots on this camera were so lively and beautiful that my friends and family thought I had picked the wrong career, not going into photography... The pics are crisp and natural-looking (not plasticky or artificial), the controls are amazingly fast to use, the build quality and looks are best on the market. Also, this model has the best price/quality-ratio of Samsung digicams, looking at the size of the CCD matrix and not going overambitious on the megapixel count.

The camera is amazing, and the detail of the shots are cool. The touch buttons and brilliant however take some getting used to.
The price comparison between the NV8 and NV40 is vast and i doubt you would gain THAT much difference between the two.

just purchased this camera ...was divvering between the 8 or 10 mp ...but more than happy with this ...very easy to use for novices .....im no "david bailey" but i am able to use a lot of the features on this camera ....the photo gallery is cool too .... great for watching back thru your tv and the video uploads onto wmv on the computer too
