Yes, the item does come with windscreen mount and in car charger. However it doesnt come with a carry case (at least not in the limited edition i recieved).
Overall a great piece of kit. 5/5
Great, shame about the memory.

This is my first sat nav and i,m very impressed with the ease of use and accuracy of the navigation. I think its a shame that TomTom have decided to leave out the sd card slot which only leaves 512mb of internal memory (not enough to fit Europe map). I would advise anyone who thinks they may ever travel in Europe (e.g. hire car on hol) to go for the TomTom one v4 which comes with 1gb memory, or one with an sd card slot.
my first sat nav - very impressed !!!!!!!

i brought this sat nav just before our first camping holiday to cornwall (from essex) wow what a little beast for under a 100 quid, i was surprised at how easy it was to use, straight out of the box. The only thing is theres no card slot for extra memory (bigs maps etc) but for my needs its superb. Its very reliable and the ability to amend mapping errors is great, you do not have to share your amendments if you dont want to, but you can MAPSHARE if you feel the need....for the price you can not go wrong.
Help Please?

Does anyone know if this comes with a dash bopard mount to stick it your window, in car charger and carry case? I have looked at the spec and it doesn't confirm whether any of these items are contained in the pack?
Would appreciate any help from anyone?
At last, my perfect car partner!! no more route arguements..

Amazingly good, if I lost this, I would have to buy another. 110% good, but for their modification I would like them to avoid the occasional minute country lane it trys to send you down, and to not get me turning right into a No Entry road, but as long as you are awake driving, this is no real problem - I prefer mine, in silent mode.
A WARNING

This is a great little machine but a word of warning - I had my TomTom plugged into my computer in order to up-date it. Once finished, the next job I wanted to do was my daily back-up to my external hard-drive, Unfortunately, I started this task before disconnecting my TomTom and the computer started to back-up all my usual tasks onto my TomTom, very quickly using up most of the remaining space before I noticed what was happening. Luckily, I was then able to go into the computer's management system and delete everything that had been downloaded to my TomTom so, remember to disconnect your TomTom before backing your computer up to an external hard-drive. Cheers.
Great introduction to Sat Nav with TomTomOne v3

I was bought one of these for Xmas and have used it half a dozen times so far. It's invaluable. Easy to understand and use and the features are great. I'm not the best at finding my way around but this little gem is the biz. Its easy to understand and the screen gives you a good clear view ahead. The directions are clear and precise and a quick glance is all the attention you need to give it as the voice instructions are given with lots of advance warning. I find it great for "seeing" the road ahead too, so you're aware of bends and twists before you come upon them. I've found my way to a house on a complicated estate in Hull and to a farm in a small village near Market Rasen, with absolute ease and correctness. Its easy to access updates and features via your pc when you apply the software, and you can update it regularly. In use on the road it also warns you if you're going over the speed limit, of changes in speed limits and warns you of up coming speed cameras! It gives you a great sense of security, as any wrong turns are immediately re-calculated and you're directed onto the right route. I did try going the wrong way a couple of times just for fun and it corrected me easily. This made me think that if I was genuinely going the wrong way, I wouldn't need to panic as to how to find the right road again. I think it's particularly great for females, giving you this confidence to find your way when travelling alone. There are several in-built voices to use or you can download new ones from TomTom.( I got a free £10 voucher included to do this). Blokes would probably prefer the male voices though, as we all know they don't like taking instructions from a woman! Lol! ( Only joking you men!)
Not having had experience of SatNav before I'm quite pleased with this one I got, but obviously can't compare it against any others. But for me, this was a great first
choice.
Clear easy precise and user friendly. Plus, no speeding tickets!
very good better than old maps.

I purchased this sat nav, I must admit not from Play as I had the money in my pocket and popped into a local store to pick it up.
The online price on this item, is the same as in a store, so if you don't mind waiting for this item then it's at a great price.
I did look at another website before purchasing at the website that I looked at, there online price was £179 and instore price was £199 but thankfully I brought it at £149.
You can hook up to a PC and download map fixes etc etc which is a bonus.
All the cables come with mine even though the store person said that they didn't, bless him, so hopefully you will have everything you need as well.
Obviously local knowledge is better than using a GPS but on a longer journey or in a place that you don't know then it is invaluable. The first time I used this from town to home, I must admit that I did get lost, but that was because it said in 120 yards turn left, and my distances are not very good, so I took the left I knew that I shouldn't have done, but it soon recalculates the route automatically for you.
Big warning though, I saw something on the news today 28th September 2007 which said something about the highway code, using GPS and smoking in your car, so once in position, do not use when your driving as it might earn you points on your license now.
If like me you get lost this is a great piece of kit to have, I was using autoroute and my laptop, but if my dog sat on the laptop then the map would be closed down, and I would be lost, so having this is really important to me.
Just to give you an example, I was going to a friends place which was a 72 mile round journey, because I got lost I ended up doing 135 miles, if I had of had my sat nav at the time, then this would have saved on fuel and time.
TomTom is one of the best sat navs around, so buy with confidence and if someone tells you to get lost in the future, say thanks but I have a sat nav now.
If you haven't got a sat nav yet, then get lost and stop reading this review and hurry up and buy one now ;)
