This player is not the latest Blu Ray standard (i.e. profile 1.1) It will not upgrade to it either. This means that new interactive features on discs (eg like on Mama Mia, bonus view and digital copy) are not accessible. It's a scandalous rip off that this player is virtually obsolete already.

Very good machine. But..... I have got the matrix, it didnt play. It took me bout 3 days to work out how to update the firmware. Once i had worked it out it plays. Takes time to load but once its loaded its very good.

This machine is slow to load in but that is the only fault the picture and sound is execlent and you go to sony home page for this blu-ray player you can down load up dates on to a disc you put the disc into the machine and the blu-ray player uploads its self. And its free
