Avoid this product if you have a Stone Plus with speaker

The stone plus with built-in speaker does not fit correctly into this speaker. If you force the player into the speaker it still sticks out at an odd angle and the volume is quieter than that produced by the built-in speaker.
Great Idea, Less than great Product

OK so it arrived today, and I ripped it out of the packaging with bated breathe...
The product is small, dense and shiney, possibly prone to scratching so take care. Whack in the batteries and slide in your stone / stone plus and swtich it on and listen to your favourite audio... well, except for 2 things:
1/ The model I have here does not properly fit the Zen Stone Plus, it goes in an awkward angle, which makes the player jut out from the front of the speaker system, the angle makes me fear it will break the connector.
Secondly, the Stone Plus's built in speaker is actually as loud (and better quality) than the speaker system here. The volume is controlled directly from the stone itself.
My advice to you is this: if you have a Zen Stone then this product might suit you. If you have the Stone Plus (with the built in speaker at the back), dont bother with this product, there is little to be gained in volume or quality.
For the same price as these (at full price) you can get some actual PC speakers that will plug in or run from batteries with better audio capabilities and better compatability with other devices
Excellent

The first thing that hits you about these speakers is their size. They are absoluetly tiny. Small and thin, much like the Stone, these are the definition of portable. The second thing is how loud they are for something so small.
You shouldn't expect the volume you'd get from a proper hi-fi or larger speakers, because with the size of these it just ain't going to happen. Still loud enough to fill a room or two though. Absolutely brilliant product, as has been the case with every Creative thing I own so far. Couldn't reccomend them more.
Power out of a stone ?

What a brilliant gadget. It plugs directly into the Zen Stone's headphone socket and turns it into a miniature ghetto blaster. What's really amazing is that it can actually draw power from the Stone itself. In passive mode the volume is adequate for playing back podcasts in a quiet location like the bathroom, where it is also a safe alternative to a 240V device. In the car, switching on the power to amplify the sound gives you reasonable volume that just about overcomes engine noise, but it's not enough to drown out loud background noise. The main thing I can find wrong with this product is that in order to turn the Stone off, you have to remove it from the speaker dock. Also, the compatibility with other mp3 player is restricted by the shape of the dock.
