this is a fantastic bit of kit, easy to set up and straightforward to run, sound is clear, speakers can be individually adjusted according to taste and it looks great. No you are not getting true 5.1 but this gives a bloody impression of it, i got rid or my old wired, round the room, system when i moved house and got this, not at all dissapointed! A couple of reviewers have commented on the deep bass levels, but these can be adjusted using the remote in seconds. Overall I can highly recommend this item, I have been using for 3 months now and have been happy 100 percent of the time with it....

I bought this after reading all the positive reviews, but am left disapointed.

Personally I find the unit puts out too much bass and not enough treble, high end frequencies. I actually use it with the TV speakers still on so I can get the best sound.

I'm not getting any surround sound effect at all, although I admit that may be due to my particluar installation setup / room layout.

Sound is disapointing though :o(

  Best Sound For The Money

I recently bought this from play.com for 149.99 and have to say i couldnt be happier with it. Like mentioned in previous reviews, this isn't really a substitute for true 5.1, but if you want a sound full of deep bass for movies and music and something that will shake the room when you are playing your games then this is it. It can be heard, and felt, all over my house. I have recommended this to a few friends, and after hearing it for themselves 2 of them have bought it also. There is nothing to touch it at this money, and even a lot of the more expensive models couldnt come close. Really simple to set up and it looks good too. Quite big and heavy but i like that about it. it looks and feels like real quality. Buy one. You wont be disappointed.

  Very dissapointed!

I was looking forward to delivery of this item after reading the reviews on here, and I was pretty gutted when I had it setup. I was expecting a lot more from the bass side of the system. Using it in a medium sized bedroom I had to have the system nearly on full blast to get any decent bass out of it. The bundled digital optical cable sat nicely in the back of my HDTV however when connecting it to the back of this system it didnt click in it just felt like it was hanging out and would fall out if the wind blew hard enough. Only positive comment I have it it looks the 'bees knees' just a shame it doesnt sound it! You maybe saying to your self, 'What did you expect for 170quid??' Well my answer is a lot more!

Ok but you can do better for the same or less money

A lot of decent reviews on this for some reason.

Yes this will increase the sound quality of your tv without the need for loads of speakers and a separate amplifier/cinema system but for the price of it, around 150 as of Dec 2011, I think you can do a lot better. My pc speakers, logitech Z4's cost me 40 and these blow this soundbar out of the water.

What you don't get with this soundbar is much bass, yes it is there but don't expect anything amazing.

Looks wise it scores highly with its gloss black finish and you get a remote control with which you wouldn't get with most pc speakers, it fits underneath the tv and has connections for attaching other equipment.

With sound bars you're better off getting one with a separate subwoofer.

  Good value for money

Having 5.1 speakers is really not practice. Logic3 TX101 is very good value for money and suitable for large living rooms without the clutter. Films and games sounded fantastic. However musically it is clearly bad and no match for the wife unfriendly 4.0 system I had using 2 full range speakers at the front and bookshelf speakers at the back. I think a 4.0 is a good compromise especially if you have play music via a hi-fi but for films and video games Logic3 TX101 is more than you need.

  Excellent system

I am amazed at the sound quality, it really does sound like there are speakers behind you.

It was larger than I expected, wider than my TV and stand.

Took a little bit of tinkering around with my PS3 setting to get the sound working correctly.

  logic 5.1 soundbar

having done my homework for a month and testing in store soundbars i plunged for the logic3. this out performed in my opinion samsung, sony, panasonics and sharps by some distance. i have never heard of logic3 before but it wins best budget soundbar on ch5s the gadget show. music sounds great as well as ps3,xbox,sky and movies. if you havent got 500plus to spend on a yamaha soundbar(they are the best) then dont be put off by the badge on the product, let your ears be the judge and you will be chuffed with the qaulity of this beast! ps expect your nieghbours to be moving out in a huff .

  Must Buy

Hi, had this turn up today, setup and running in 5mins, what can I say WOW this is a must buy if you dont fancy speakers everywhere. Not quite as good as a full 5.1 set up but damn near. I was not sure how good this would be having all speakers in front of you but it lives up to its description very well. Excellent Piece Of Kit.

If you want an asbo and / or angry neighbours this is for you. Sound quality is spot on and the virtual surround thing actually works a treat.
