You get what you pay for

It's cheap and it sort of works. The mechanism is very noisy in my tape deck and the music is interrupted for a second every two minutes or so as it auto-reverses. Useful for short snippets of less than 2 minutes, but very irritating if you want to do any lengthy listening. Not very useful.

  Good Product

I bought mine for 1.42 pounds... Now you can't complain at that price.

If you are music crazy and want great sound quality use some common sense, that only comes with a 50+ quid price tag lol Good product and produces some average sounds :D

  avoid at all costs

this is an awful product, it looked used when i got it, the plastic of the case was not straight and level and when trying to put it in the tape player it spent most of its time ejecting itself. When i did get it working the sound quality was pants no matter what adjustments where made and most of the sound came out of only one speaker. You'd be better off saving your money and buying a cheap headunit for your car.

  Worked once!

It worked literally once before it started crackling, it only cost like 1.50 so I'm not too bothered, but I have now got a Sony one I played less than a tenner for and it is soooo much better, I would advise everyone to spend a touch more and get one of them too!

  Only works in one speaker

Can only get it to play out of one speaker. Sound quality is good though, but at less than 2 quid, i suppose you get what you pay for.

Save up and buy something better

Mine didn't work at all! And to be honest for the sake of 1.13 I didn't see the point in sending it back...it would probably cost more than that in postage. I'd say spend a little more and get a decent adaptor, or save up a LOT more and get a car stereo that has it's own adaptor!

What do you expect for £1.20?

| | See all jamesm406's reviews (1)

Well, not much is the answer. I know this product is very cheap and you shoud expect the sound quality to be just that too. I followed advice of turning it down etc that people have wrote, but how far do you actually have to go?! The sound quality is frankly terrible and I would advise anyone to go for a more expensive one, it is a massive difference.

  Its ok...

At first it was really good, but then the sound started crackling a bit and doesnt sound too good anymore. Its alright if you dont want your music on loud but its not good at playing music very loud.

Is picture accurate for so many sellers?

I ask because the one I got from Cablestar was black and had a stright not curled lead. I actually prefer it this way but others may not. I think the issue lies with what Play display and maybe there should be some note that says 'colours may vary' or similar. That said the Car Care one I got from Cablestar does what it says - worked first time and sound quality is acceptable. Based on some other reviews of similar products I wait to see how long it lasts.

I ordered this item not having massive hopes but as more of a ' i wonder how good a £2 i-pod/mp3 adaptor can be' kind of hope, and i must say i wasn't disappointed!
This handy little thing means i can listen to my i-pod/mp3 player in the car without haveing to spend £15-£30 on a radio transmitter and it even comes with a mobile phone adapter (doesn't fit my phone but still a bonus)
You may have to twidle with the volumes to get it spot on, but it took me about 5-10 seconds max to do this.
