Well, to start the delivery and price from play is awesome. Check the creative site and others to see...

The player itself is sooooo good, in my opinion unrivaled across the board by any other mp3 play (or ipoo). Basically, its tiny, I mean the picture and info makes it sound small but its tiny, and not too tiny, just any smaller would be wierd; its perfect. The battery life is excellent, the size and weight is insane for a player of such capacity, yet it doesn't feel so small and light that its fragile (like the ipoo nano, that brakes with every drop!). The volume is also very very good as it can get very loud! The buttons may seem unsettling as it is a d-pad but its all about there menu's, because of the actual software on the palyer they are perfect, plus, you can actually STOP the music rather than leaving it paused...like other players. Then the screen, excellent again, beautiful colours and definition, even watching videos is sweeeet!

The sound quality, albeit with a better pair of headphones than come in the box (sony or sennheiser in ear recommended) is excellent, but that also depends on your own music compression and file type. I currently have wma 128kbps songs and its excellent. Plus the fact that there is a graphic equalizer and something like 10 preset eq variants (jazz, pop etc).

The menu's are great and the whole interface of the player is customizable! You can always delete anything from the player itself, there is no immediate auto syncs etc, basically great.

Now the software provided is excellent; you get a choice of simple drag n drop, creative's own sync wizard, windows media player or even itunes if you're an idiot, kidding, but seriously! Drag n drop is my preferred transfer method as you have such control over the player.

Now my only let down is the playlists option on the player itself, so far, as I may not quite have clocked it yet, but you can;t really create a playlist and then add any old tune on the player itself, you have to do it all on your pc beforehand, but thats minor i feel and not worth losing a star off my rating.

This player is unrivaled, the fact that it also has a memory card slot, a microphone for voice recording, excellent battery life, great sound, screen, software, menus etc and a radio too makes it unrivaled!

At the end of the day if your looking around for a new player or just browsing, look no further, this is the one! I have spent the past 5 years watching mp3 players (and ipoos) grow, having used and played around with so many of them trust me... This is the best so far.

Excellent MP3 Player it's very easy to use & has great functions (still haven't read the manual yet). Without a doubt the SD card option is a added bonus (I purchased a very cheap 4GB SD card from Play.com) so I now have 36GB in total. I love the fact that it is small compact, beautifully designed.
The only draw back is the sound quality could be a fraction better compared to the Ipods or some Sony Ericsson MP3 mobile phones but on a whole the clarity is very good. I suggest you get a leather case or silicone skin to protect your player as it could get easily marked. I also had to purchase a mains charger for the Creative Zen as it was not included in the package. Finally, though the earphones are quite adequate it wouldn't hurt to get better quality ones.
Great MP3 Player, it should be hit! If Creative can tweak a few things to get it spot on Apple Ipod should be very worried!

 Awesome player, great screen

I bought one of these as a replacement for my Creative Zen Vision:M (30GB) after reading good reviews elsewhere, but nothing prepared me for the sheer size of the thing - against my Vision:M it really is tiny.

Having already used the Vision:M's interface, it's pretty much the same, just with a slight face-lift. I was slightly wary of the lack of a scroll-pad, but the four-way D-pad is more than adequate for every-day use. The screen is also a joy to use, clear and crisp with 16.7 million colours.

One of the great additions to the Zen is an SD card slot. This means that you can add extra storage if you need it, but my main use for it is as a larger external display screen for my camera to show photos to friends - just pop the SD card in, browse to it and away you go.

One minor gripe is that Creative only supply the player in black, which makes it a magnet for fingerprints and scratches as I found out at my own expense when I left it inside a bag with keys. Big mistake! I now have a rubber skin and screen protector bought for £11, and it's definitely a worthwhile investment considering how tiny the Zen is.

It synchronises faultlessly with Windows Media Player 11 (I don't use Creative's software) and because it's MTP-compliant, it'll show up on almost any PC and even synchronises with the Amarok player on Linux.

Overall, an excellent mp3 and video player, and one I would highly recommend to anyone and everyone - I love it! If you already own a Creative Zen Vision:M, I would upgrade to one of these as soon as possible.

 Great stuff!!

I have owned one of these for quite a fair while now.

good points:
-fast transfer rates

Bad points:
-only have selection of themes
-Limited control when playing videos
-long videos may have skip in and out of having syncronized sound.

and to the guy rating it 1 star:

" the reason it only lasted two hours is because you need to press in the reset button on the bottom of the player. The player may sometimes freeze if you play a corrupted MP3 file or unplug the player while the docking animation is playing.

 Lasted a mere 2 hours...

...then died. Wouldn't switch back on and my computer failed to recognise it after that point.

It was good while it lasted though. Well, the hardware was. The syncing software didn't work at all actually and I ended up putting all my files on it manually.

So..in conclusion:

Software doesn't work.
Hardware works for two hours.
