Advanced Shake Reduction (ASR)
The ASR technology prevents the degradation of image clarity and colour common to flash photography. With ASR the effects of camera shake are reduced in lower light conditions. You can even take well exposed, sharper pictures in low light without using a flash at all. It guarantees brighter and more natural pictures.

High sensitivity ISO 1600
The Samsung S850 has an auto sensitivity feature that automatically adjusts sensitivity according to the ambient exposure conditions up to ISO 1600. The high sensitivity setting of ISO 1600 enables you to take clear indoor pictures in the dark without camera shake and the resulting image blurring.

MPEG-4 SVGA quality movie function
The powerful video capability of the Samsung S850 delivers a "camcorder like" experience. For a more enhanced movie shooting experience, the Samsung S850 uses MPEG-4, the high-compression high-quality video format, which can record for up to 3-4 times longer than the traditional video formats used in many other digital cameras. Movie Stabiliser
The Samsung S850 has a Movies Stabiliser function, which helps maintain steady recording of a subject by means of automatic detection and correction of lateral and vertical camera movements.

Successive Recording function
The Successive Recording function of the Samsung S850, which is based on exclusive Samsung technology, allows you to pause and resume video recording as desired and merge those multiple movie into a single file.

Built-in Movie Editing
For easier editing of movies, the Samsung S850 allows you to select and save only the desired part into a new file during playback, on the camera. Samsung S850 also allows you to capture a still image during palyback.

Powerful manual functions
The manual functions of a digital camera enable you to produce any image you want to express in picture taking. The powerful manual function support enables you to express your image intentions according to the subject. For the convenient A Mode and S Mode functions, you can change mode easily by operating the left/right button (shutter speed priority) and up/down button (aperture priority) of the 5-directional button. When using the camera in M Mode, even a novice photographer can easily use the manual functions with the optimum exposure display at the bottom of the LCD.

Macro 1cm & Auto Macro
Mode Macro's available up to 1cm. When set to Auto Macro Mode, the Samsung S850 automatically adjusts the shooting distance and focus from between10 cm to infinity, helping you taker to take pictures more easily.
