I always had a Sony cybershot camera and never thought about changing it. That was untill I saw this Samsung camera...Its so easy to use and takes very good high quality pics and for this price how can anyone go wrong, Brilliant Play.com yet again for producing another great bargain at a great price
I've had my Samsung for a little while now and its still as fantastic as it was the first time I used it. I've managed to take some wonderful shots with this easy to use diamond of a camera. The quality of the macro shots are stunning, though of course not on a proffesional level, 8.1 is crisp enough for the average photographer.
The only problem I have had, and this is probably more my own fault, is that some images look perfectly crisp on the camera screen but are actually blurry once you load them onto the computer. Its fussy with its light source/focus so you have to play around with the flash and extra lighting to get it right.
Otherwise, for the price, you are getting a really good piece of equipment.
awesome

I got this camera for my birthday almost a year ago and it has been brilliant ever since!!! The quality of the photos on zoom are very good compared to other cameras with the apparent same features. I found the best batteries were high quality Energizer ones (2500mAH) and the camera will last with them for over 500 pictures, or a good 30 Minutes on video.
The quality of the pictures is just superb, and they can be blown up on a very large scale and still be perfect.
A good all-round camera for people who like to take great pictures, or even for someone who just wants to throw it in their bag for a special occasion. It not too heavy, its very durable (mines been dropped a few times!) and its a brilliant price too!
Great Valve!!!

Had this camera a few days bought it off the back of some of the other reviews on here.
Very pleased with it looks great took a view pics in low light and have come out brilliant
Definately worth £80 would disagree on those that said its heavy...it's not!
LCD screen is nice and clear opt for the re-charge battery which are great and also bought the play.com 4GB SDHC card and the camera says it will take over 1600pics at 8MP based just on that card which is plenty for any occasion!
Go on treat yourself!

I bought this camera and it worked fine with the batteries included in the pack and the rechargable ones. However, before getting the rechargables, I tries using other good quality AA batteries, but the camera didn't work properly with these. I think the camera is very choosey about the batteries that it lets power it. Other than that.... GREAT!! And PLAY.COM have been excellent!!!
quality on a budget

had this camera a year now and it's seen plenty of action. picture quality is top notch with excellent colour reproduction and depth. downsides are the daft anti-shake mode that takes forever and quite poor battery life. when out and about i always keep spare batteries as i know it will conk out a a crucial moment! when in video mode, the mic cuts out when using the zoom. however, when you see the quality of pictures and consider the cost it's a no brainer for someone shopping to a tight budget!
Great Camera + Free Rechargable Batts!!!

This camera has the same lens they use on the NV series which are there high spec models.
It has really good build quality and is so easy to use.
I picked the free recharagable batteries which last for ages.
