It's the best gizmo i've ever bought. For anyone who's interested - i wanted to read dombey & son again (i like to read laying down in bed, as opposed to sitting up), but it's so heavy i kept dropping it. My reader is a bit heavier than i thought it'd be, but certainly easier to hold in one hand than a convention book - i don't even miss the tactile qualities of a book, as i had previously considered a possibility. As for 'the ebooks cost the same as ordinary books'. Well, ebooks will last a lot longer than the latter, and for that reason are much better value for money.
Well worth the money

I completely disagree with the reviewer giving a poor review. There are thousands of books to download if you bother to search the Internet. I bought an adaptor and it works brilliantly. The battery only needs charging about once a fortnight and this is after daily use. Fantastic for using on the daily train journey, no more heavy books to carry. Well worth the money and definitely a best buy. Buy the lighted cover and it is easy to read in bed comfortably.
Exactly what I wanted

I bought 2 of these, (one each for me and my wife). Wherever we go, we take a bag of books, so I decided to get these so we can take all our books with us. So far I've downloaded 28 books and have only used a small amount of the available memory. It fits easily in my pocket, so I can take it wherever I go and can carry on reading, even if I'm only waiting for a short time.
I haven't noticed any problems with the battery, (I've read 4 and a half books up until now). I find that U.S. stores seem to carry a greater selection of downloadable books, but I'm sure that this will change as readers get more popular.
All in all, I'm glad I've bought them and would recommend the PRS-505 to anyone.
