Good but would be better if they told you how to drive it

Remarkable value for money but very frustrating because although they provide a PDF handbook of sorts which covers a few obscure aspects such as lyric synchronisation, it completely fails to describe the fundamentals such as how to navigate through the folders etc. If it hadn't have been for another reviewer here I would have gone through life never knowing it has several hidden options for repeating and shuffling files. Even so, it will take hours of fiddling to figure out how to get the best out of it. It amazes me how some companies will produce a good product then de-value it by failing provide details of everything it's capable of.

  Good, cheap Mp3

I bought this for my dad at Christmas and I was surprised at how good it was for the price. Easy to use and it's simple to put songs onto.

Doesn't really like it if you put albums on it by folder, so if you just put the songs on themselves without folders it's fine. This can be done in Windows Media Player.

Another review said, it doesn't have a shuffle option, but it does you just need to turn it on in the main options menu built into the player.

Only drawback is that the headphone cable is abit to short to reach a trouser pocket.

But it's still good for the price.

How to get Shuffle Mode:
Go into MUSIC mode, press the MODE button, select REPEAT, scroll to the RANDOM option and press MODE button to select it. The random option will only play tracks randomly in one folder at a time.

  Great little mp3 player

A huge 4gb capacity! its great to use as a general flash drive for pictures, files and documents and the sound quality from the tiny earphones is surprisingly good. I dont think I even own 2000 songs to put on its massive 4gb space! I better start collecting! Time to go to the music department and buy some CD's I think...

  Navigating via albums not songs

Got this 20 minutes ago. Excellent value for money. Bought for my mum for the beach. It'll be great for that!

For those who cant navigate via album. In playback press mode. select DIR Navigation using mode button. Use skip forward button to move down through list of albums. Use mode button to select album then go to the song you want to start from using skip forward button and select using mode.

  No Shuffle Function

| | See all fourhorsemen's reviews (11)

This is quite a good mp3 player, expecially for its low price. 4GB is plently of room, and the sound quality is great, no problems there. The only problem i have with it is that it does not have a Shuffle function, instead having a random play function. I find this very frustrating, as i have often found that with this function enabled i have listened to a song, then for the next song it has randomly picked the exact same song. Because of the lack of shuffle function, i now find myself looking for a new mp3 player.

I have had no problem putting music on in fact I put 12 albums on each within it each folder. Sounds great only thing I cant work out is how to navigate between each folder instead of track by track. The display knows its got 12 folder but Im stuck. Any ideas, theres nothing in the "manual"
