Creative EP-830 In-ear Headphones

I didn't think these would be that much better than the 630 model which produces great sounds and given that the specs for them (frequency range etc) are practically the same. However, these are even better, producing very deep bass sounds and crystal clear highs. They feel as comfortable, if not more so than the 630, look really good. Have about an inch longer than the 630 cable which was still pretty long. You get all the same as the 630, 3 sizes small medium and large silicon buds but I imagine most will be fine with the medium, the gold plated connector remains; the cable is slightly different but still feels like it will last. Oh and you get a carry pouch which has a pull string and creative label but I don't see who would ever use this.
One slight complaint as with the 630's they get tangled a lot but this isn't a big enough issue to knock them down.
All in all amazing earphones for a great price would recommend to everyone.

These are the best headphones I have owned, particularly in combination with my zen x-fi (which they come bundled with).

My only problem is that I go through so many, as the bond between the two halfs of the earpieces is attached only using clips, making it very week. If you drop your mp3 player whilst these are in your ear they will like come apart and the connection will be broken.

Here is my advice: as soon as you buy these headphones, carefully prise open the two halfs of both earpieces and add a nice amount of superglue to stop them from breaking.

Well I broke from tradition as I usually favour Sennheiser for their stellar base and clarity (CX300, CX 400 CX500 and PX 100's) I also own Shure and Sony but these little beauts compare favourably with any of them, Straight out of the pack, plugged them in to a trusty Zen Vision M and thought the sound was too harsh on the mids and the boomy base made my eyes pop....but, I realised I had the Zen set up for the CX 500's so unchecked the equaliser settings, knocked off the base boost and bingo! They are superb without any output tweaks on the Zen, and similaly, give great natural sound off my Sony and Cowon D2. Good crisp highs, nice mellow mids and a punchy base. And don't forget that this is straigh from the pack - all phones/speakers improve over use. Only minor down side is the straight in plug - I do prefer the L type. But overall really well pleased - for the money you just can't go wrong. trust me - cos I'm real picky !

I agree with the other reviewer these are a noticable improvement on the EP 630 earphones. I am a big bass fan and the bass on these is a lot stronger, you can really feel it! These have a lot of range as well, I am using them with my 3 year old Vision M (still the best player ever made) and they're awesome. They come with a pouch and the build quality seems good. I just hope they don't break in one ear like the Ep 630's did, I got through 3 pairs of them in a year!!

Used to own a pair of ep-630s, but after going through 3 or 4 pairs of these I thought I'd try a change (ep-630s are great, and I use my earphones a lot and don't treat them all that well, hence why I get through so many pairs!)

I tried a switch to sennheiser cx500 and hated them, far too bassy, silly in-line volume control that broke and not nearly as comfortable as my ep-630s. Do not buy them!

Decided I'd try these as they were only 3 quid more than the ep-630 phones, and have to say I really like them! Sound is more spatious, and bass is more responsive without being overpowering. Just as comfortable as the 630s and the construction feels a little more rugged.

Not 5 stars because creative are still fitting the straight headphone jacks, not the 90 degree jacks which last so much longer!
