HD 1080p
HD 1080p offers you very high resolution to generate it's picture. The 'p' stands for 'progressive scan', which scans all the lines at once to add stability & smoothness to fast-moving images. This makes 1080p TV's excellent for sport broadcast & games.

Intergrated Digital Tuner / Freeview
Having an integrated Digital Freeview Tuner means that your TV has a built in receiver that will give you access to many more channels without the need to have any additional hardware, such as a Freeview box. In 2007, the government began switching UK broadcasting to digital, so if your TV doesn't have an integrated digital tuner feature you wont be able to view any channel without buying the additional hardware.

BRAVIA Engine 2
You can't have too much of a good thing, so we designed BRAVIA ENGINE 2. By using our most innovative technologies like intelligent noise reduction and Advanced Contrast Enhancer, BRAVIA ENGINE 2 builds on the power of the acclaimed BRAVIA ENGINE and adds four new image processing stages. What's more, BRAVIA ENGINE 2 incorporates full digital signal processing, which means that it can enhance many different signals.

diagram
Dynamic Contrast
Contrast ratio is improved and all shades between the brightest white and the darkest blacks are maintained, so the picture has more depth and detail.

This is achieved as the backlight brightness adjusts according to the brightness of the scene. Sony's unique dynamic contrast system features ACE (advanced contrast enhancer) which ensures all of the subtle shades of grey are maintained. The W4000 Series delivers a Dynamic Contrast Ratio of 33,000:1.

diagram
Bravia Sync
BRAVIA Sync enables the control of your TV and peripheral devices with a single BRAVIA remote through menus displayed on your BRAVIA LCD TV.

It is supported by selected Sony Home Theatre Systems, Blu-ray Disc players, Audio/Video Receivers and Handycams. Please check the specification of your other Sony products to ensure that it includes BRAVIA Sync.

XrossMediaBar (XMB)
XMB (XrossMediaBar) is Sonys original graphic user interface that allows for simple operation of various media and content, as seen on the PS3 and PSP. Users can navigate through the different types of media by zapping across icons that are aligned horizontally. After selecting the medium, a list of its content appears as thumbnails vertically.

Outstanding Delivery from Play. Ordered telly Wednesday afternoon and had it up and running Thursday night.
Highly recommended television. Fully automatic set up just turn on and follow the easy instructions. Picture quality at 1080p is excellent. Read reviews of dodgy Freeview but encountered none. Signal and picture fine. For a real mind blower connect it up to a PS3 its outstanding. Nice looking telly and if you look at its colour really close up its a very dark blue with some shiny sparkles. Looks black from a distance. Very sexy. Over the moon with this purchase, can only be described as the puppys privates.

 what can i say......

This is one superb tv. I looked at the panasonic vieras, the samsungs, the toshiba regza, the sharp aquos. And believe me every tv pales in comparison to this. Its the first 32" tv to have a 1080p panel at 24 frames. The tv has good freeview and digital signal quality, however connect through a ps3 and ul really know what this tv is all about. It was designed to run in hd. The clarity is awesome, the colours are vibrant. I just cant take my eyes of how amazing hd looks on this tv. If u want one of the best 32" tvs on the market. This is for u. Fair enough its kinda expensive. But its something u will not regret.

This tv is the best 32" on the market. Its the first 32" to support 24p which is the ideal way of watching movies. I hooked this up to my ps3 and 360 and the images were absolute crisp to look at. When watching television (Standard Definition) the television does extremely well with upscaling to 1080p. This is a brilliant tv from Sony and i recommend this tv to everyone
