Top 100 Mobile Reviewer

It is a little on the large side, but getting past that it is a pretty good universal remote. Comes with a manual which includes all the codes for branded appliances. The learning function is one of the best I have used, and is pretty simple.
Overall I am very impressed and pleased with the remote, for £17 - well worth it.

It's quite large & the buttons on the bottom are rather clunky but once you get past that it's a good gadget.

Really easy to set up, the instructions didn't have codes for my freeview box & hi-fi, however the learning function took care of that within minutes.

Definately worth £17.99 if, like me, your girlfriend hogs the remote all night & hides it when she goes to bed!

Not a bad remote but there are always gripes when it comes to gadgets. The remote is quite large, about the same length & half the width of a dvd casing & twice the thickness so you'll have a hard time losing it but it does feel quite smooth to handle and should fit most paws. It requires a bit of a learning curve to setup as the instructions are dreadful. Both me and my partner had a hard time understanding them. It claims to support most popular brands and the codes for my Samsung LCD allowed for easy setup, however my new wharfdale freeview box & my acoustic solutions dvd player were not recognised and i had to program every button & function for both devices. This would probably put most people off but once i understood how to do it, it didnt take long at all. The blue backlight looks good and is certainly useful in a darkened room as there are no buttons to feel. Overall a good replacement for the pile of remotes in your living room and as always an excellent price for an 8-way remote.

Fairly good remote, eats batteries for breakfast

it seems to do what i want it to, control the devices i wanted it to control, but using super extra long life batteries (energiser lithium) the batteries die in about a week even with the most minor use. these are the same batteries that keep my wiimotes going for days and days of playtime.the blue backlight is v pretty though. techincally it is not a 'touch screen' remote, it is not a screen per se, it is like the controls on a microwave where the buttons have set pictures but can light up.

This remote is sleek and looks very modern. It will suit most homes and the way it lights up impresses a few people too.
I myself have replaced 5 items as well as being able to control two different tv's. For the price it is an excellent bit of kit. A must by for those who hate the clutter of remotes.
