Sony HT-SS1300 5.1 Channel Home Cinema System

This is a marvelous piece of kit from Sony.
It has a wealth of connections for all your possible needs. I use it only for my ps3 - which i use for blu-ray, dvd and playtv+ and the results are fantastic - the system outputs Dolby TrueHD sound when watching blu-rays which is the best.
The unit will also pass through the audio and video signal via hdmi whilst in standby - so, for instance, you could watch your tv at night without disturbing everyone else.
It is also a breeze to set up thanks to the auto calibation microphone which is included - ok, you might want to play around with the settings and effects afterwards to get it just right, but the initial phase is a breeze.
Also, the speaker wires are an ok length. The front 2 sat. speaker wires are 4.5m and the rear 2 speaker wires are 8-10m.
Another useful feature is the bravia-link (or Regza link in my case), which now allows me to control the master volume using my TV remote.
Overall - i would say you can't go wrong with this kit. It would suit any home and sounds fantastic!

This is an amazing 5.1 system especially considering the price. It took me no time at all to set up and the auto-calibration feature means no tedious manual tweaking.

I have put Sky HD and my PS3 into it and it sounds amazing. Blu-Ray movies are crystal clear sound quality so is Sky HD when you watch a movie (although Sky HD doesn't pass its 5.1 audio via HDMI for some reason, so had to get an optical cable for that).

The amp looks very sleek, a lot less bulky than most amps which is great in my opinion. And the inputs on the back are so simple to setup and are colour coded for that little bit of extra ease!

You won't be disappointed if you get this system, for anyone but audio enthusiasts it will be more than adequate.

Fantastic piece of kit for the money , anyone with a ps3 and looking for an affordable home cinema system look no further . Was in my local sony centre and they were selling this for £350 , don't think you will find it cheaper than play anywhere else.
hook up your ps3 via hdmi and prepare to be amazed!!!!

yes it outputs true hd surround from a ps3 , the ps3 decodes the sound then passes it through the amp . i've got a v+ box connected to the amp via an optical cable and i get surround sound in various formats . just hook up your ps3 to the amp via an hdmi then another hdmi to the tv from the amp .

All set up and running well!! Got v+, ps3, wii hooked up to lcd. Sound and vision all quality! Got v+ and ps3 hooked up via hdmi. Ps3 is ideal for a stand alone dvd player aswell as a game station.
