Docking & Sound, the i-Station offers a complete solution to listen, recharge, and synchronise your iPod or iPod mini with a dock connector. It produces hi-fi quality sound from the combination of a sub-woofer, dynamic tweeter speakers and 3D surround sound processor.
Connecting your iPod to i-Station is easy, just place the iPod and away you go. The dock, which fits both the iPod and iPod mini with dock connector, even recharges the iPod battery while it plays, leaving you to enjoy your music rather than worrying about the level of your battery power.
Stylish design and compact size (A5 size, weighing only 400g) means that this ultra-portable device fits unobtrusively in any room in your house, and is easily stowed away. The unit is powered either by the supplied AC mains adaptor or four optional AA batteries, allowing you to use the device wherever you choose. The lightweight and compact design even allows you to pack i-Station in your suitcase.
i-Station can be synchronised with your PC or Mac via a USB cable & FireWire and can also be used with other portable audio devices such as MP3, MiniDisc and CD players.

I brought the I-Station a month or two ago and i am very pleased with the product. They can handle the bass very well and the sound is very clear. Can reach very loud volumes wich is what i wanted, save me having to buy some new speakers for my laptop. 5/5

Really pleased with these. It's not like being at Gatecrasher on a big trance night, but they do their job as travel speakers or as a second "hi-fi".Tweaking your iPod's EQ menu helps them sound better - I like the Dance (bassy) and Electronic (trebly but little bass) and Rock settings. I leave the iStation 'surround sound' ON. (Surround sound only if you're the size of a flea, though.)
Cost me £50 four years ago (still going strong) and £18 now ! Re some reviews stating that continually operating the iPod buttons weakens the docking connection - I don't know if it works with the smaller ones, but on the full-size iPod or the new Touch version (I've tried both), you are supposed to take the clear hard plastic speaker cover off, REVERSE it and clip / slide it back on behind the speakers. (As in the instruction leaflet.) This means that the iPod has something to rest against when you press its buttons, taking the strain off the connection. Hope that helps someone.
Awesome
